I'm exhausted from brewing 2 batches and 15 gal last weekend. I've got 2 gal of plum wine just begging to dive into bottles and some beers that need kegged. The kegs just keep kicking upstairs and I can't keep up with the flow. I'm almost caught up, but by the time I get there I'm sure another 2 kegs will kick and I've got nothing on backup. I also work the next two weekends.

I don't think I'll brew anything this weekend, but I'll get packaged up on a peanut butter stout and a Gumballhead clone. I'll make some recipes for the few days I have off this month. I'm looking forward to filling all of my kegs. I've got 3 left and a dopplebock in the crosshairs.

Apparently I promised my daughter a keg of beer for her caving club party in 2 weeks so I'll be brewing something quick and easy today, probably a mild or ESB with Nottingham yeast.

Bottling a robust porter, amber rye saison, and maybe a spiced strong dark saison that's been sitting on rum soaked oak cubes, if I have the bottles and will.

Tomorrow brewing an imperial ipa with amarillo, citra, chinook and centennial and a standard ipa with mosaic and galaxy.

I'm helping to brew a Helles at our local Oktoberfest tomorrow but I don't know if I'll get any wort yet. Should be a beautiful day for it.

I was planning on doing a rye stout this weekend, but I have a Halloween party to attend (hosted by my brother-in-law, who loves beer more than I do) on Saturday, and my parents insist on taking my family out for lunch with an obligatory visit with them afterwards on Sunday.

    So, not me.

I kicked a keg earlier this week that I need to get clean so I can rack my Autumn IPA into it. It is tasting great so far, the DH is pushing a lot of dank character which I wanted. Still a little boozy though. Calibrating my sight glass on the second kettle tonight. Hosting/judging our Harvest Beer COC tmro afternoon. Making sure I am ready for next weekend for Teach A Friend.

Planning on a Raging Bitch clone for Sunday, depending on whether or not I can actually carve out the time to do it. Going to ask my buddy Pete to join in the fun - the agenda here is to inspire him and get him back into brewing by showing how an all-grain brew-day goes. This will be my first "high gravity" brew (1.077 planned) with Warrior, Columbus & Amarillo... Am hoping I can get the hops...
Not too sure what I'll do if the hops are not available to me locally.

Any ideas on possible hop substitutions? Its a 3.5 gallon batch using 9.2 lbs pale 2-row and 0.5 pounds crystal 60.

I've successfully swapped out the Warrior for Nugget and the CTZ for Simcoe. I have not tried to sub anything for the Amarillo. I believe the Amarillo and the Diablo yeast the the two key players for this beer.

No brewing for me this weekend, but I have 5 kegs to clean. I'll be filling them over the next few weeks.
