Expected Releases in October

Any one seen PA Somewhere in clear lake/league city area?

 

Haven't seen any yet, but I was told that Shell will be getting their allotment Friday.

 

Picked up some Labyrinth and Standard tonite, looking forward to both

 

Not beer, but Blue Bell Spiced Pumpkin Pecan hit freezers this week. Best holiday ice cream ever!

 

Boulevard BBQ is at Central Market Lovers Lane now.

 

BBQ should be out all over Austin early next week. Keg1 wanted to hold it back because they were releaseing another Smokestack bottle, Re-Boot (a revival of their second colaboration with Deshutes. It's basicly an imperial Chainbreaker.) Re-Boot is in ATX stores now.

Other beers that might be of interest next week are Victory's Dirt Wolf Double IPA, which replaces Hop Wallop and the return of Raging Bitch.

 

Are we gonna get any of the other Canus Major beers?

 

Great to have Raging Bitch back; I am also curious if we'll see any others - would love to try Gonzo or Pearl Necklace.

Can't wait for some BBQ either.

 

Found some BBQ at DQ yesterday, at least a few left. Happliy surprised theat there is still a large stock of Porcine unidragon and Luchador en Fuego. Thought those would be more limited.

 

Not per my understanding of my email corespondence with Flying Dog a few months ago. They're keeping distribution of those more regional for now. Sucks, I know. Gonzo and Double Dog were two of my favorite beers back when Flying Dog was still in CO.

Raging Bitch is a special case. Though it's in the Canus Major series, it comes in a 6 pk, not a 4 pk. I also read somewhere a while back that it is about 25-30% of FD's total production. Popular stuff.

It's been available in Texas for a while now, there is a distributer in East Texas that has been carring it. I just don't think the larger distributers like BEK bothered with until now. They must have finally gotten sick of me asking for it. This seems to be a trial run sowe'll have to see how well it sells. Heck, I don't even know if I'll still like it but I used to buy it by the case.

 

CM at Preston/Forest in Dallas has a couple bottles of Deschuttes BB XXV on the shelf if anyone is interested.

 

Are we expecting to get any of the GI sours?

 

I believe so.

SOAB, I can't go today, I was just there yesterday. Damn, I wonder if they will last until tomorrow with the way things fly off the shelves.
