Yeah, something other than twitching, pfffting through your lips and shaking your head. I'm just saying that you did not voice your opinion, as you said in your post.
I'm not saying it would have made any difference at all and I think you are not responsible for the guy that bought this beer behind you, but we each can only do what our small bit allows. Do you vote? Or do you abstain because it 'would mean shit' in the election? Or do you go down to the polling place and stand there shaking your head and aspirating, hoping someone will notice?
All I'm saying is don't fool yourself. If you choose to think it would have been worthless to actually say something in some way, then congratulations because what you did was in fact actually worthless.

    Haha, this is exactly right.
That is voting with your mouth.
Voting with your wallet just means not buying the product.

Doing literally nothing is voting with your wallet, making the face and the shaking of the head was actually more active than wallet voting, though still passive.

Another issue here is not only high prices, but outrageous prices for a specific beer. I have paid as high as $22( never again!) for a bottle of beer( B+) in a very reasonably priced store. Recently, I paid $19 for a bottle of Love Child. From now on I will not spend over $15 for a bottle of beer- good prices or not.

At $19, I'll buy a case of Love Child.

if he sold out that fast, it wasn't "overpriced" to begin with.

I went to a place in Chicago selling ZD for $18.99/6pack. Dude had also muled War Mullet, Razorhoof, and other FFF brewery only beer that was marked up by x2. ZD wasn't marked, went up to pay and saw the price. Told him it was a little steep. He says I'm lucky to be able to buy any at all. I tell him to f off and he needs to take a shower and walk out. Went home and emailed FFF. They actually responded and are looking into it.

How do people feel about paying a little extra for a beer that has been cellared? I keep a pretty good cellar at my store and break things out during the holiday. Typically I'll add a dollar/year that I've aged it. Would that be considered outrageous? I've never gotten any complaints, in fact people seem to appreciate the ability to buy beer they couldn't otherwise get.

I don't think there are many here that would object to that. In fact the majority here would be glad to get some cellared beer at a small mark up

I think this came off the wrong way i wasn't trying to complain about illeagal sales I could care less if some guy wants to mule product not available here. It actually benifits me and allows me to acquire beers that i usually cannot due to our antiquated and archaic laws. I was stating a instance that I knew of happening recently. And like always it was all gone before the plcb boys would ever come sniffing around. I apologize if it sounded as if i was taking up a soap box was not my intention.

It was under $40 with the PA 6% sales tax. This is the original Old Speckled Hen, not the Old Crafty or Old Golden. I've bought it before as well, and would never consider it at $90.

I was referring to the original post for Otter Creek/Lawson's Double Dose. That is a righteous price on old speckled hen.

I would consider that in-line or even cheap to the stores I've seen offering this option.
