Luckily, but that still sucks for Yuengling.

A storage facility, not the brewery was damaged. Suds still flowing.

Bought an existing Brewery (Stroh's) in Florida. It has enabled their expansion through out the Southeast.

I haven't thought of it in years, but there's an old Stroh's brewery in Winston Salem that was originally a Schlitz operation- built in the late 60s. Years later Sam Adams- I believe- was contract brewed there. Now it's a mixed use facility. Made by Kelly Brick out of Pa. We were paid union wages and thought we were rich. My best friend still has the record for sleeping in a port-o-let! I hope Yuengling is doing well.

Doing well enough that the owner is woth a Billion and they pretty much are in tie with Boston Brewing for which is the biggest American owned brewery in the US.

Yeah, this Tampa facility owned by Yuengling also began life as a Schlitz brewery. Pabst owned it for awhile, too- after Heileman kept the Pabst, GA brewery after buying and spinning off "New" Pabst. Pabst and Stroh then "traded" breweries, when Stroh needed an upper mid-West brewery after closing Detroit, so Pabst swapped them for their Hamm's brewery in St. Paul.

I don't recall that. When Stroh was a BBC contractor in the '90s, most sources (inc. the actual contracts that can be found online) have Stroh-brewed Samuel Adams beers coming out of either their Blitz-Weinhard brewery in Portland OR (after Stroh bought Heileman in the mid-90s) or their ex-Schaefer brewery outside Allentown, PA - now owned by BBC.

IIRC, Stroh-Eden did contract brew the "Wicked Pete" brands and North Carolina-brewed Samuel Adams brands did come out of Miller's Eden, NC plant in the 2000s.

Right now, Yuengling is selling well. They are growing every year.

I've had a few when it was the best option available. No hate from me. Hope everyone affected is back to work soon. The owner may be worth a billion but the workers aren't.

I guess I'll have to buy some to help them out.
