Agreed. Black and Brew was good. Will they include Chocolate Bock in this at least?

I didn't care for the Chocolate Cherry Bock, myself, and I loved the Chocolate Bock last year.

WTF so they don't even have the regular Chocolate Bock? I'm all around bummed about this winter pack now.

Disappointed there's no Holiday Porter, but I'm still looking forward to this. I really dig the Winter Lager and Old Fezziwig Ale. Juniper IPA sounds interesting, too.

If they put Old Fezziwig in sixers no one would buy the winter pack.

last year was my first time trying old fezziwig and i couldent undestand the hype. It was like a watery mess of a beer, almost a drain pour

Last year was the first year I didn't buy it. The White Christmas is absolutely terrible, and the Winter Lager has also become undrinkable for me. That's four beers I'm not drinking now, so it's not worth it.

What I started doing last year was making my own winter mix pack. I believe I put in Founders Porter, Anchor Christmas, Union Jack IPA, Sam Adams Boston Lager (I like this one), Sam Adams Cream Stout and one other I can't remember. Basically I tried to replace what they offered with better versions of the respective styles.

I also found a loose six pack of Old Fezziwig late winter last year, so that helped ease the pain of missing out on that beer.

Just picked one up, was refrigerated so I was able to try right away. Juniper was pretty good and the Cherry Chocolate Bock was ok. I liked it more than regular Chocolate Bock which I found too artificially sweet, this is still artificial tasting, just not as much so IMO.

Is Holiday Porter no more? I love that stuff but I've never seen it in six packs.

It's odd because they got this label approved in July, along with the Juniper IPA. Maybe it will be out in 6 packs?

Hopefully six packs of Holiday Porter will be out this winter, but maybe they just hadn't decided what they were gonna brew for the pack when they redesigned the labels.

White Christmas was pretty darn good, considering I didn't have very high expectations. That, and I tend to think of wheat beers as "warm weather" brews. Nonetheless, it was still pretty good. A little disappointing there were no porters in this pack though.

I agree. That would be better in the winter mix, Or better yet a year round offering.

Well, some places have singles available. You could make your own sixer. I considered that at Wegmans today, but...too soon.

good question - when WAS the original release? I probably started purchasing the SA Winter Classics mix in 2003-2004. Your guess looks good, but I'm thinking Holiday Porter was not in the first couple of Classics 12-packs that I bought. Was it Boston Ale?

Well, after some thorough googling they had a Winter Classics as far back as 1999, but the article didn't list the contents. It says the Spring Ale was introduced in that version though. Winter Lager was first brewed in 1997....so the late 90s might be the first years for the mix pack. I feel like Jesskidden knows the answer to this.

I also found the label approved for their new Spring seasona, Cold Snap. Another witbier from them....ugh. Alpine Spring was a decent beer.
