Beers you'd like to see barrel-aged?

    Currently drinking a Third Coast Old Ale from Bell's and while fantastic on it's own and one of my favorite Bell's beers,I think this beer would be mind-blowing if aged in bourbon barrels.

    What are some beers you think would be next level amazing if barrel-aged?

    I'd like to see some oak aged Black Butte or Obsidian.

    Maybe some wine barrel aged Just Outstanding IPA from KRBC.

    Oh, and The Butcher from societe. I wouldn't be suprised if its being aged right now in barrels.

    I've tried every version they've made. It is an excellent beer. Check my post in the lost/stolen beer thread for a kinda cool story regarding this beer. However, this is really a whole different beast than a purely oak aged Black Butte or Obsidian. Cheers!

    Third Coast from a barrel is absolutely outstanding.

    I would like to see Bell's put their Java Stout in barrels.

    Damn...Bell's has barreled Third Coast? The Old Ale or OG Third Coast? The thought of Old Age in bourbon barrels makes my jeans tight. Assuming this was taproom only/draft release?

    This one has been done. Tap only but it has hit taps across the Colorado Front Range, not a taproom exclusive. I never tried it though, so I am on board with this choice.

    I had Four Roses barrel aged ten fidy on tap here in Pittsburgh for a special event a few months back and it was incredible. So yea, barrel aging this one is a great idea!

    Old Ale. It has been on tap in the cafe and one bar in town, I am not sure if it has made it any further but may have shown up at a festival or event as well. They supposedly have some in barrels with cherries at the moment.

    Damn...I'd give up limbs to try that. Wish Bell's would release more beers like this in large format in a wider distribution area. Similar to a backstage series or something.

    Ommegang's Abby Ale in bourbon barrels.

    Left Hand's Milk Stout in bourbon barrels...but I think I might only trust the folks at Firestone Walker with doing the work on this one.

    This has been done too (Templeton Rye Whiskey barrel-aged to be exact) ... and had seen fairly decent draft distribution. As a matter of fact, I had it on tap here in Des Moines just last week. Amazing as suspected!
