That is not a flaw, if it was a common practice for a site to remove inventory permanently without purchase, there would be a lot more headaches then for just a couple hours 2-3x a year.

 

I am giving up. Cannot check out with my 3 in cart. Guess I will not be able to spend my $100. Mr. Rue, thank you for the opportunity to purchase your fine beer. Please notify the community when you have your servers functioning properly to handle the flow of traffic.

Got my three bottles. I was gentle with the F5 key an hour and a half ago, but when it got past 11:30 it turned into angry, constant mashing. Ironically it seems to have been the trick to getting through the checkout process successfully.

 

I'm stuck with 3 bottles and have 55 minutes to check out.

I got an unable to process to request error.

 

I'm past shipping method now, yet I have to leave my computer in 13 minutes, I don't have high hopes. Pretty disappointing since I was sitting here ready at 5 minutes before the sale opened.

 

I have bottles in my cart but when I click "checkout now" everything goes to hell... suggestions?

 

I wish I could be happy for those who have ordered, but I'm not.

 

Keep trying, i did that for an hour and half, I am now at the final confirmation, only 8 minutes left before I have to leave, hopefully I can get the final confirmation completed.

I'm not sure what all the issues are, since I was able to buy up to 12 pretty easily the last couple of weeks and for cheaper. Why did you all wait until today?

After all my worrying, success. This may have been worse than DDG, not sure though. Both were pretty difficult.

 

Do RS and HS members have a separate ordering process for their extra allocations of special releases? I joined RS for 2014 and just trying to figure out if that allows me to avoid this kind of shit show in the future.

 

Ya, I bought my BT allocation earlier this month, without having to worry about it selling out. I guess I could have bought more today, but 6 bottles (and 2 included) was more than enough for me. And hoarders get double that - all without having to deal with limited release shitshows (unless you can't "stress" tests).

 

Just a heads up - BT sold out perhaps an hour ago. After the initial craziness died down 4 hours in, the website ran extremely smoothly and bottles were bought with ease.
