Founders Harvest Ale (2013)

The shelf? What's that?

 

anybody seen it in indianapolis area yet?

 

Harvest hit all of Indiana this week.

 

One of my stores put aside a couple of bottles for me. I plan on giving this a try this weekend. Very limited supply around my way.

 

So went to my usual places to score a pack and they said I was a week late and a dollar short.

Fortunately for me though, I have a kick ass bar in my town and they have it on tap so I was able to get a pint last night.

I freaking love that stuff. Delicious as hell, the wet hopping gives it a great taste and aroma. The only downside is the lack of head, hardly any at all, but other than that it's one of the best IPA's I've tasted. Highly recommended if you can score some

 

Just popped up in Western Mass. I will take a little shelf luck and was able to score a few 4 packs.

 

Finally got my harvest ale in columbia SC bottle date of 10/2

 

Crazy it takes almost a month. Got mine yesterday as I said above with the 10/2 bottling date as well.

 

Anyone in Charlottesville, VA, beer run has cases, buddy of mine got me a case today, one case limit.

 

Guys.....now come on. I want to open your eyes. I can get Harvest easily here in Atlanta. I LOVE Founders.
But harvest is not tHAT good really. Breakfast Stour, Imperial Stout, Backwoods, KBS....ok. Harvest is....fine.

Thanks for the heads up basics I stopped by TW yesterday to see if they still had enjoy by sitting around, sure enough they did so I grabbed a couple and just for the heck of it I thought well I'll look and see if they have any HA and to my surprise there were 2 four packs left. So I bought 1 and left 1. Thanks again...

 

Anyone ever listen up close to a Harvest Ale right after you pour it?? just sayin' you all should do this

 

I can't believe this still hasn't hit Pittsburgh. It's going to be 5 weeks old by the time it shows up.

 

This is easily a top 5 IPA for me.

Dat smell.

 

This is a really good IPA but it's definitely on the hype train. Had it for the first time ever tonight, reminds me of double trouble jr, and I'd probably rather have a sucks overall. I've had three now and about halfway through each glass I stop getting citrus and just get bitterness.

 

Drinking one right now, tastes as good on November 1st as it did when I picked up at the brewery nearly a month ago, maybe better.

 

why did i buy this ok beer for $11.99 4packl($17.99 6pack)? First time having it it, very underwhelming

edit: tastes like a regular ipa - i would never guess this was a fresh hop ipa in a blind taste test

 

Meant to say my local shop's shelf. My bad. 4 pack is still sitting in my fridge, can't wait to try it to see what all the hype is about. I had a Broo Doo last week and thought it was extremely good, so I'm curious to see how it stacks up.

 

No, I got it. I was facetiously referring to the fact that most of us have to ask for it because it's usually hidden in the back.

 

My first bottle a few days ago was great, & I don't know what threw me off the next day, but the other bottle had an off taste. I'm not one to say "last years was better" type of thing, but I'm glad I have an 6 bottles to do more research
