    This is about right.

I'll gladly finish my last 2 and wait and hope the next batch improves.

At least they are going in the right direction.

Better than the bottles they released. I thought it was good but not blown away like I remember last year.

    Let's see how this progresses.

Still have a Pro-AM '12 in the fridge.... Has to be so malty by now...

Didn't take long for the HEBs in the woodlands to get it. Also, they have plenty and I have bought some every time I stop in. Drinkin' another right now. This stuff is awesome.

Unfortunately, I had a few before I made it home to try this. I can say the nose is definitely Pro-Am. It is awesome! Everything else was right there, except a very slight metallic aftertaste. I may buy more, but the lack of dating may be a big problem. I will have to try one with a clean palate and report back.

Just picked up my second 4-pack of this. Love the bitter beer face effect this causes! :stuck_out_tongue:

Totally agree with this. It is a little better than the bottle, but the aftertaste is just bitter. I'll stick to Rodeo Clown. Really wish Saint Arnolds would sell Endeavour in 4 packs.

Finally took a chance on a 4-pack and I should have known better. Agreed that it is better than the 500ml bottles. My hopes were high from the initial aroma, but the taste does not match it and the lingering bitterness is quite unpleasant. Will not pick this up again until someone says they have fixed the recipe.

I bought a 4-pack after buying some singles. The singles were great, but the 4-pack was not good. I don't know if this beer is particularly susceptible to the condition of your palate, or if there are serious consistency issues, but I'll be passing it by from now on.

This is not good. Very, very bitter. I may have to drain pour it.

I have 3 others. Guess I'll wait until one night I have had more to drink than usual and knock these out. Or I can give them to my stepdad, he'll drink ANYTHING!!

I finally finished my four pack. I found that drinking it straight from the can helped with the bitterness.

Just had one as the first beer of the evening...and I still think it's pretty darn close to Pro-Am '12. Did the folks saying it's too bitter ever have the Pro-Am '12 to compare it to?

If I'm not mistaken weren't people saying bottled valkerie wasn't "bitter" enough. I'm confused. Maybe its a different kind of bitter. Who knows, this stuff is delicious. Had one this afternoon while hanging Fall decorations.

Yes, I had at least a case of Pro-Am '12. The Valk 4 pack I bought is NOTHING like the Pro-Am. I literally couldn't get enough of Pro-Am! The Valk on the other hand is nothing similar, IMO.

Especially delicious after a Founders Breakfast Stout.

I bet if you mix Valkyrie with Rodeo Clown you'll end up with a balanced beer

    Am I your stepdad?

Seriously though if its bad, just use it to marinate some pork chops or green beans. Or just take it to a tasting and let the drinkers drink it.

Opened up my bottle today. It was sadly a drain pour. Just a bitter swill with no discernible flavor. Very disappointing, as I have really enjoyed Southern Star's other offerings such as Bombshell Blonde and Walloon. Oh we'll, I'm hoping Buried Hatchet redeems it.
