Yesterday I was able to have a pretzel, White IPA and Leviathan DIPA at the Harpoon brewerly at lunchtime. Met up with my dad and brother at my house, where we split a fresh Heady Topper before heading into Fenway on the T. We snuck back to The Church assuming it would be less crazy than the rest of the Fenway bars and restaruants. Had some tuna tartar, a nice grassfed burger and an awesome fresh Stone Ruination. We then met up with my youngest brother and went into Fenway. Smutty IPA was kicked, so I had a Harpoon IPA, and a nightcap of Narragansett(all the craft beers were sold out in our section by then). We had face value standing room tickets in the right field State Street Pavillion and the view was tough with everyone standing almost the whole game, but it was an absolute blast. Special moment in my life, shared with my family and a few great beers thrown in for good measure. It doesn't get much better than that.
I hope that tells management something. Sounds like an awesome evening. I got to share some HF Double Citra with my best friend, who has never had the pleasure of trying any HF before, then surprised him with his first Heady Toppers. They all tasted great to begin with - but even more so with great company and a world series win!
Sounds like a perfect day. Good for you. They sell Wachusett at Fenway. I want to see Jonny Gomes drop kick some cans of Larry into the stands!
Nice! I work in Kenmore and I was stunned this morning going into work how not-trashed things were. This afternoon a woman who tends bar at Cornwall's told me that it was a jam packed scene last night. It's also pretty wild that the craft selections in your section sold out. Encouraging!
I know, but there aren't any on the State Street level, or the level below. I know the outfield under the grandstand and green monster seats both have green monster IPA, Yawkey way only has blueberry(which for the record, my dad did get while I moved on after them not having anymore Smutty. I would love if they started carrying Larry anywhere in the park.
Larry is 8.5%. I haven't been to Fenway since 2011. I hear the beer choices have improved but I don't know if they sell anything that strong. What if it got into the wrong hands!
