DC/MD/VA Rumpkin 2013 Watch Thread

I need this! I guess I'll try to head there after work from my house (near Rock Creek Park).. I hope there's not too much traffic..

 

It's gone at TW McLean -- might be at other TWs though.

 

Gone at Fairfax, Alexandria, and Chantilly too

 

I picked it up at TW Alexandria at 2 pm today.. It's in a different place behind the counter than the other "special beers" (opposite of the others).. They had 8 left. I think they got in 12 total.

 

I was in Total Wine McLean today and when I asked about Rumpkin the clerk told me that an employee put it on the shelf by accident. Then apparently one person bought most of what they had. Probably got the tip from this thread. So thanks for that whoever you are.

 

That wasn't my intention by updating this thread. If that did happen, shame on you. I only bought one.

Yeah, most of the stores I talked to had no idea what I was talking about.... pretty standard for TW.

Thats a lot of coin at $13.99 a bottle, I guess I give it to them? There will be plenty for all us still, last year it sat on the shelves at Fairfax. The first year, it actually hit clearance @ $5 a bottle

Apparently! Strange, because the guy went on and on about just coming off a conference call where the distribution was discussed, etc etc. I was like "sooooo, ya gettin any or what?"

Anyway, glad y'all have been able to get some! If anyone ends up with an extra bottle, I'll IP trade ya for this.

 

Assuming @1up doesn't take me up on the bottle, I'd HAPPILY trade you for that!

So.. whole foods told me they were going to get it but I called back today and they told me that the abv was too high for a non-liquor store to carry it. That was Randy and he knows his stuff, too bad the other employees told me the wrong thing instead of saying they didn't know. So still looking ...
