Hint: My target has yet to post in this thread, my box will be going out hopefully next week, and I'll give it a few days because it has to travel a long way...

An extra week is fine by me, but I can ship by the original deadline, no problem. My target has yet to post in this thread.

Well guys, I happened to have had my box ready to go and was just waiting to get my target info back in my inbox to send. That having happened, my box is officially on the road headed east to the state where I got my undergrad degree. A breakdown stylistically:

    1 piece of goofy swag

    10 bottles:
    1 brett IPA
    1 brett golden ale
    1 brett wit
    2 saisons
    1 imperial saison
    1 barrel-aged saison
    1 berliner weiss
    1 vintage dated gueuze

One want, one well-rated favorite of a different vintage, and 8 new brews from new breweries for my target. I did cheat on the rules a bit on one of the brews, as it had no reviews at the time of shipping (but I have had it and enjoyed it thoroughly!). Happy guessing as to the breweries and my target!

My box will be headed out sometime this week. Fedex lost/is holding a box that a mailed out last week so I am reluctant to use them for shipping. Looks like UPS will be getting some business from me.

Hint #2: My box will be headed to a city where a very famous wrestler graduated high school.

    That sounds good!

This reminded me that I wanted to say that several people BMed me about the rules in specific instances. My opinion is that if you have 150oz of beers that fit the rules, you've already hit the minimum, so you're fairly free after that, within reason. I know I'll be doing something similar, as I have two beers that go together in a certain way, and one of them fits within the rules and the other does not. I just won't include the non-conforming one in the ounce requirement.

Packed up my box and dropping off tomorrow morning...FedEx says 2 business days. Unfortunately for my target, I only ended up having a 12 bottle shipper in my basement so I sent 10 bottles (8 wants) and 2 items of beer swag...just didn't feel right leaving some of the spots empty. Hope he enjoys!

Haven't been very active with this one yet, so I figure I should post something. I have a box chosen out (not packed or shipped yet) going to the west coast with around 225 oz of funky/sour goodness split amongst 12 bottles.

A 33 lb box is currently traveling roughly 1,000 miles NW and will land on Friday. Hope the owner enjoys the contents!

I like a Chicagoland destination for this box...go box go...I could use a drink on Friday, hell I could use one now.

And this landed at my house today.
I will take a pic and make a more detailed message later. All I can say is super big thank you is in order. This box far exceeded what I anticipated getting.

I haven't provided any hints for my target but they have not posted here yet. As it turns out, I didnt get to pick up the last 2 bottles like I wanted to last weekend so I am planning on getting them tomorrow and shipping on the 5th.

Left to right for those who cant see image:

    Boulevard Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale
    Crabtree Berliner (want)
Drie Fonteinen - '07 Oude Geuze Valentines day edition (unlisted want and perpetual iso for more 3F)
    Crooked Stave Fertile Soil
    Funkwerks Dark Prophet
    Funkwerks Tropic King
    Funkwerks Saison
Crooked Stave Wild Wild Brett "Green"
Crooked Stave Wild Wild Brett "Yellow"
    Grand Teton The Grand Saison
silly swag - party popper 2 foot long (?) wooden bottle opener (next time we are drinking in my garage, I can see someone getting drunk and poking someone's eye out with this)

All of these are large format bottles that I have not had the privilege to try yet. The exceptions being the 3F which I have had but am always in search of more. Also, I recently had all 4 of the WWB brews at a tasting but pretty much only got to try the dregs at the bottom of the bottles. I am excited to get a real taste of these 2.

You really nailed this one boatshoes. Cheers and thank you!

An AMAZING box touched down today in Chicago and landed on my steps just when I needed it most...after I stumbled home from a Goose Island tap takeover I nearly literally stumbled over it on my front porch. A picture is to follow soon, but for now suffice to say that NJBeerNerd has completely upped the ante...Armand has come to visit (unbelievable), the 'loons are flying and a Bruery tour is on offer along with some wonderful gems from Weyerbacher, Allagash, Alaskan, Russian River and more along with some great glassware...I thought I had a pretty sweet box ready to send out but thanks to what came my way I'm going to have to try a little (or a lot) harder...pics tomorrow when I'm sobered enough to properly function a digital camera...in the meantime, wow, just wow...thanks SO much, East coast representin'.

You're very welcome. Awesome that you got the box and enjoyed it! Just to let you know I'm not a Giants fan but I did notice your Cowboys post in the previous forum...it was just too easy to include that beer cozy and who's not up for pissing a Cowboys fan off :stuck_out_tongue: Cheers!
