Last week I was nursing a brutal hangover and had to stay busy (or die)so I finally got around to putting wheels on my brew stand. I also added a platform to hold the propane bottle and a heat shield to keep the propane bottle cool. Total cost was about $15, it took me a couple of hours to do but today when I brewed I was amazed at the difference it made. Now instead of being squeezed between the table saw and the freezer I rolled the 3 tiered system into the middle of the garage and had plenty of room to work around it. Then when I was finished I just rolled the whole thing against the wall and the wife has plenty of room to park so that she doesn't bang her car door on my brewery. It was a small thing, but it made brewing much easier.

Good call with the wheels. I'm eyeballing some caster wheels here at the hospital because we're moving. I don't have tiers yet, but I'm wondering about building a cart for some of the heavy lifting.

I appreciate that you work on the brewhouse when hungover. I need to drink more.
    Cheers.

Yes, wheels. Still one of the greatest inventions ever. I've recently casterized my brew-pot (boiling only) stand so that I can wheel it into the kitchen for wort chilling in the wintertime.

You actually get cars in you garage? Sadly that is just a concept at my house. Maybe when the kids leave:astonished:
