DC/MD/VA Rumpkin 2013 Watch Thread

Westover Market in Arlington has it in, although the price is quite a bit higher than it was at TW -- $20.99/bottle vs. $13.99 at TW. FYI, they also have the Goose Island "Four Sisters" series in stock.

 

Yup he can't sell anything over about 14?15-16% for beer cause of the license... World Wide Stout and DFH 120 is another example. They almost couldn't sell Cherry Rye...

They are thinking of ideas that might involve serving them at the bar if you purchase them for in house consumption but they are working on a solution to this.

 

Was just at TW Fairfax they had a full case with a 1 bottle limit. So 23 bottles left.

 

i really hate when total wine doesn't know their own stock. i think many licales that were "out" simply had not received it yet. the employees are so reliant on the computer system that they cant even predict anticipatrd releases.

 

And bring both to one of my bottle shares? Haven't tried either rumpkin or almanac but pumpkin beers are one of my favorite styles

 

Hey their Reid, always seen your bottle share posts.. it's always a matter of timing for myself.. hope to drop by someday. Providing I don't drink everything in my homestead... which is usually the case...

 

Ffx is a bit far... Wonder if McLean or Alexandria have some/received more

 

The lady who helped me (I think was a manager) didn't know what was behind the counter when I asked. She opened up a line because it was getting busy and I asked her to check for me when it was my turn. She was hesitant to even do that because it was busy. So I had to ask her twice and even suggested it was Rumpkin.

TW Fairfax please get a dry erase board and post what you have behind the counter. It sucks having to grill your emploees everytime I go in.

 

That's why I stay away from Westover. $13.99 is steep, but $20.99 is just down right ridiculous. Never shop there!

This is the same place that put a bottle of Savor Flowers on the shelf for $100.

I love the beer garden and the employees seem nice enough, but the bottle prices and shelf management are ridiculous. Lots of stale, overpriced beer. Yet they continue to get limited stuff.

 

It has the feeling of being run by a beer hoarder, with the massive stock and beer strewn all over on random shelves. I cringe when I walk in there and think about how many old and past their prime beers are there.

 

Total Wine Springfield might still have them. This is an old status but on Thursday they still had 18 bottles.
