Ah, gotcha. Its hidden in most beer shops around here too. Believe it or not I have a gas station about a mile from my house that gets amazing craft beers. Not uncommon to walk in there and see Zombie Dust sitting next to Miller Lite, mostly because no one in this part of town likes craft beer, and the people that do like it would never suspect a gas station to carry rare brew. They have no twitter or facebook presence either, and most of their cashiers wouldn't know Sierra Nevada from Four Loko, so its pointless to call and ask what they have in stock. So anyway, yea, Harvest Ale was just sitting there plain as day. As I mentioned earlier, I actually walked away from it initially, then went back like four hours later after I realized how dumb I was for doing so.

Disappointed myself. Good but nothing special. Maybe it fades after 4 weeks. NC distribution needs to get their ish together.

Sorry to hear that, not sure what happened to your batch but I get almost no bitterness at all from Harvest.
To me it seems miles apart from Double Trouble.
Maybe I'm just getting the really fresh stuff in MI

Got a couple bottles. Enjoyable, but not earth-shattering. As I've said before, it's worthwhile as long as you're not busting ass to get it.

I've been semi busting ass to find it in my area but haven't had any luck :slight_frown:

Im up in north bergen (north jersey). I tried super buy rite which is one of the better places around here and they said they weren't getting any. It'll probably turn up soon but it makes me feel a bit better seeing people say that I'm not missing out that bad

Pretty decent Wet Hop, worth the effort IMO. Nice hop hit not overly bitter.

I haven't seen it in Chicago but that's ok. It was great last year but there are so many other good beers to drink. Had a good share of Broodoo and some Deschutes Hop Trip. Give me Hop Trip all day...

Had this tonight with Broodoo and thought the Founders was considerably better. Both fantastic brews though. If you found it underwhelming, you probably just weren't paying enough attention

The one I'm drinking right now is considerably less hoppy than the ones I had 3 weeks ago, tastes more like a well hopped pilsner now, not that I'm complaining.

The Founders was very fruity without a ton of backside bitterness. Liked it a lot even though over a month old, but drink it now and don't wait.

My store got 7 cases we do Founders, Bell's, and stone are our number one craft brands. We fair better than whole foods and total wine on some allocations. I'm sure allocations are also based loosely somehow on your demographic, median disposable income, the strength of the industry in general in that area. Your state liquor laws I'm sure are also at work somehow making it more difficult. I live in what is probably the densest concentration of wealth in the nation (with my parents), and the virginia Craft seen has seen a big boost as of late. These things I'm sure influence the amount of limited offerings that we get one way or another.

Yep, Founders doesn't send us much unfortunately. We go through dry spells in the summer months where we can only get Pale and Porter.
