Anyone know if there are going to be any beer-related Black Friday events in the Twin Cities? I'll be spending Thanksgiving with my wife's family and would love to come out for something fun, maybe even get some bottles. And laugh at the throngs lining up for their Coconut Rye in Chicago. Wait, who am I kidding.. well, at the very least I'm looking forward to drinking Abrasive.

That sounds like an awesome event. Given that my wife's grandmother lives in Roseville, its not a long jaunt over to St. Paul.
We could carpool, I live in Roseville, hehe. Senor Wongs is a very short trip from Roseville. I may throw down a tasting that night, not sure yet. I have some serious stouts burning a hole in my cellar (various Parabolas, Black Ops, bourbon county bramble, Eclipse Ritten, 4 year darkness vertical, hopefully a 4 year abyss vert) That's if I survive Senor Wongs
Nice.. I have a couple big stouts that I could contribute. VSS, BBPt5, Pirate Bomb, etc. It'd be interesting to try Zhukov alongside Darkness. I have not made a final decision on which RIS I like better. But I think Senor Wongs is probably the first priority since it sounds like a ridiculous good time, haha.
We did try Huna next to Darkness my last tasting on my birthday in August and let's put it this way, my buddy grabbed his last 2 bottles of Darkness and gave them to me and said "get me more of that". Well I didn't get him a Huna but I got him a Brandy Barrel Aged Huna instead (actually that may be one to open if we do this tasting and yes, survive Senor Wongs)...
Yeah, 10 RIS's on tap sounds like a recipe for forgetting to do a bottle share afterwards, haha. Oh yeah, does anyone know anything about the BCBS releases in the TC area? I feel mildly annoyed that I'll probably miss out on any releases at home in Madison while being in the TC.
If it's like last year or at least the allotment, it should be easy to find (I found it up until Feb last year). I think it's supposed to hit stores around Thanksgiving but not sure if that'll mean here too or not. Last year I know it was around end of Nov early Dec

Not Black Friday, but any intel on when Heritage Liquors beer geek christmas will be? Also, BrewFarm + Black Friday = everybody wins.
It's always the first Thursday of December. So uh December 5th this year. I will miss it unfortunately but I will be Beer Geeking it at least at the Eclipse Release party at FiftyFifty (I want to thank my boss who's cabin is by the brewery for getting tickets, man he's awesome).
Yup, and my boss' cabin is basically on Donner lake BAM!!! OK, actually just got back from a Costco and Heritage run. BGC sounds like it's pushed back to Jan/Feb depenging on the shop move (new location 2 doors down, bigger yay).
