I stopped by New England Brewing Company in hopes of picking up a growler of Ghost Pigeon Porter but was disappointed to find it had kicked during the weekend and that it was probably the last keg for the year. Got me to thinking that I sure wish NEBCO would can a Porter or Stout year-round. I know they are small, expanding in the new address soon so I am not complaining, just wishing. My Question: Available in CT/MA are there any canned Porters or Stouts that I can buy (not looking for an Imperial) just your basic Porter or Stout. The only 2 I can really think of is Narragansett Porter(seasonal) which I always buy some of when I can find it and Six Point 3 Beans which I like but sometime a little more ABV then I am looking for.
Available in MA there are Raincloud Robust Porter by Foolproof Brewing Co. and Phantom Punch Winter Stout by Baxter Brewing
BBC Drayman's Porter of Coffeehouse Stout would be a nice answer ARE YOU LISTENING BBC?!?! Sixpoint Diesel should be showing up soon. I guess there's also Foolproof Raincloud, Grey Sail Leaning Chimney, Baxter Phantom Punch, Anderson Valley Barney Flats, and Butternuts Moo Thunder,
Big Elm has a canned stout that is decent. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/30416/89443 I think butternuts Moo thunder is a reasonable milk stout as well. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/13302/36056
Remember seeing this one now that I think of it. Will have to give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
