Ghostface Killah, NOT the hottest beer

That is fucking awesome.

 

The casks seem to be making the rounds for festivals. The peppers go straight to your sinuses in this one.

 

I am heading down to Columbus tomorrow on my day off to pick up some of the Elevator Ghost Scorpion Lager. If anybody is interested in trading for it, shoot me a BM.

 

They did. My friend was in the brewery shortly after they did this and called me just after he left to describe how hot the smell was in there.

 

Sounds very interesting. Just an FYI. Ghost peppers clock in at 350,000 SHU and scorpion peppers average 1.2 million SHU and some push upwards of 2 Million SHU depending on the plant. I bet you can taste the peppers just by licking the bottle.

 

These beers seem pointless IMO, but to each his own.

 

I enjoy spicy food - something between a mild and a moderate heat. But I'll never understand the desire to consume something so hot that it numbs your entire digestive track for a day and makes you puke. There are far more fun ways to accomplish puking with alcohol...

 

any way to get growlers of it?

 

Who on God's green earth would want a growler of this stuff??? Is somebody's manhood at stake?

 

Sculpin seems like it would be good with some habranero in it. Unless the beer really sucks. The only way I could try it is if I get it in a growler, but then again I am going to SD in july so maybe it will be around then.

agreed to an extent, but these ghost chili beers really aren't' that bad and if anything these peppers do have some pretty good nutritional values. Maybe I have consumed so much hot stuff that it doesn't phase me but my digestive tract seems to easily digest it. Cayenne pepper is often used as a stomach ache reliever anyways.

 

I got to try this at DLD from some "generous" soul passing out samples, and it was DEFINITELY hotter than any other chili beer I've tried. I gave the guy my contact info in hopes of him contacting me for a trade. If anyone else out there can get me some, send me a message.

 

I had a small sip of Ghostface and it gave me immediate hiccups for 10 minutes or so.

 

I had ONE sip of Ghostface, and bailed. I love hot sauce, and even have Dave's GhostFace hot sauce, but this beer was unbearable.

 

I was with Dan. I think we both asked each other if either of us had pistols. It was painful.

I actually took extra pours of GhostFaceKilla when i tried that, but Ghost Scorpion is BRUUUUUUTAAAAAALLLLLLL!

 

Confirmed. It's all heat, no redeeming qualities. 40+ people shared ~2 ounces on Saturday. I don't even know what you'd do with an entire 12 ounce bottle. Throw it at your enemies?

 

Find out what frat party your enemies go to, and dump it in their beer bong. Then run and hide from the people who want to kill you for manslaughter.

 

I bought 2 bottles of GFK...sent 1 out in a trade as an extra and attempted to drink the other. I got through about half the bottle and then was pissed at myself for not using it for cooking purposes instead. If you have a bottle, don't drink it...make chili. Would be way more enjoyable as an ingredient in a meal than on it's on...

 

I was with Chris guy at DLD who was passing out pours of ghost scorpion lol.. Stuff was so hot it made you break into hiccups and immediate heart burn. The .5-.75oz pour I had lit me up for a good 30min. It was rediculous.

 

I've had that El Toro Chili ale before, easily the hottest thing I've ever experienced but it I actually enjoyed it a bit and finished the 4 oz. YOLO!
