And some peoples' sense of entitlement is pretty advanced! I would love to have just been in that room. Trying only one or two beers from that list makes for a pretty damn good day, no?

 

huh? This was yesterday which was a Tuesday. Today is Wednesday.

 

Not if I waited in line for a "Guaranteed" pour of something. Then no.

If I showed up late and expected a pour of something and it was kicked, then I bitched I could say that is having an advanced sense of entitlement.

Here is what is listed on Philly tap finder and other places for this event.

Bainbridge St. Barrel House celebrates its 1st anniversary with an epic tap list. The celebration will be spread out over two days, 11/5 and 11/6. For the 11/5 tap list, click here. On 11/6, Bainbridge will be issuing tickets for the Dark Horse Bourbon Barrel Plead the 5th (55 tickets) and the Cigar City Brand Barrel Aged Hunahpu (80 tickets). Tickets, as long as available, can be purchased as you enter the event. The ticket guarantees you that beer up until the close of business on the day of the event. You may buy only 1 ticket for each special beer. Tap time - 11:00 a.m

I'm not sure what your point is other than that you can't read, but I went to Bainbridge yesterday. I had lunch. I am not going today so I will miss out on the stuff for Wednesday. Originally, the even was all on one day. I was lamenting that fact in my post earlier. This isn't complex stuff.

And if this were OP's case I too would be a little more bent out of shape. But he said tix weren't a purchase, only a right to purchase. It's unfortunate that the venue chose to use the word 'guarantee', because I see no guarantee in that.
Shit happens, even with the best of intentions.

 

I was called in early to work today but I was able to stop by and grab my tickets beforehand. Should be going back around 8:30 tonight. Hopefully there aren't any problems with getting the ticketed pours.

 

Keep in mind according to JMW your tickets do not guarantee you pours even though it is advertised they do. That must be WV logic.

 

That makes sense. I haven't had either of the ticketed beers but I'm looking forward to the Brandy Hunahpu the most. The Victory at Sea variants sound really interesting too.

 

the longest people waiting in line for a ticket (which they didn't pay for up front) was like 30 minutes.... i wouldn't exactly say that was extreme and you could have shown up at 1pm and still gotten tickets.

 

Just arrived(8:45) and was able to use the ticket to get my Cali Brandy Hunahpu with no problems. So far, so good!
