St. Bernardus is at the top for me as well. Have yet to try Fantome, Scaldis, Gouden, and Delirium as all great too. Mikkeller's Santa's Little Helper is also good.

St. Bernardus Christmas is the best in my book. I also enjoy Delirium Noel. And I live close to Troegs, so I'm always happily stocked up on Mad Elf too. I love SN Celebration, too, but I prefer the Belgian flavors for actual Christmas beers, not just something that's a seasonal release.

Sierra Nevada Celebration I like. This year I'm going to try St. Bernardus Christmas Ale (missed it last year).

SN Celebration comes out each winter and has a snow scene and is a great beer, but in no way does it remind me at all of a Christmas ale. Anchor's, while slightly different each year, has been my beer that really signifies the holiday season. Same with the Samuel Smith's Winter Welcome. And for the first time, I have been in a state that has Odell's and I have to say that I really loved the Isolation as a winter warmer.

what does the poster have against lagers? I love Celebrator Dopplebock around Christmas. (love the little goat charms on my tree as well.) I also really look forward to Abyss and Gouden Carolus Noel, along with several other Christmas Belgian Strong darks.

I love all of those except for Scaldis- which tasted like rocket fuel last time I tried it. I'd replace that with Guuden Draak.

St. Bernardus Christmas is tops for me. While not a Christmas beer, Great Divide Hibernation is a great winter seasonal.

    Why no lagers? Serious question.

I was going to say Smuttynose S'muttonator, but your rules don't allow me to.

Troegs Mad Elf is my favorite. I love Great Lakes Christmas Ale as well but BA classifies it as a Winter Warmer.

but you did anyway, shame on you you broke the rules. Lager are mainly winter warmers for xmas was why.
Plus I like ale mostly. Belgian in general. its ok we will not punish you this time.

TBH honest I did not care, and I figure no 1 really reads half these posts anyway, or cares.....
meaning we all go off topic at times. On top of all that I wanted to preempt all the Xmas postings, lol. I know I am crazy.

Not to derail this, but most traditional Christmas lagers are some form of "Christmas Bock" - not a winter warmer.

Are you saying most Winter Warmers are lagers?
    Cause they aren't.

Does an FBS float with Eggnog ice cream and cinnamon count?

Available in Germany only during the Christmas Market season. Last year I ordered a 10er that arrived just in time for Christmas. This year I think I'll have to go for the 20er.

I'm confused, when I think of a "winter warmer" I think of an ale. In fact, and for what it's worth, beeradvocate lists "winter warmer" as an ale.

I guess I was going for beers (ales) that have Xmas on the label or made just for it. Not just for winter. Bottom line post what you want, it was just for fun.
