As a Founders member, this is what I've been waiting for. MBCP brings the pain.

Do they fill growlers of this when it's released at the lounge?

Never have yet, maybe one day.
The most sought after beers they did growler fills for were Last Snow and No Crusts. No Crusts was twice, Last Snow once, and only a specific Tuesday for a limited amount.
They've been doing their lesser known, but just as crazy beers lately, like the Fire in the Hole and More Moro.
Every Tuesday they do a special growler fill.
Most recently they filled growlers of their Pumpkin beer, forget the name though.

Founders club members get a growler of MBCP in like 2 weeks. Pip's Pumpkin Porter is the pumpkin beer you are referring to.

In the coming weeks (one at a time, on Tuesday nights) they will put the following on growler:

    11/12: Double Brown Ale
    11/19: Chocolate Covered Cherry Porter
    11/26: Sweet Potato Casserole

The Chocolate Covered Cherry Porter sounds interesting. I had the double brown last night and it was delicious.

The guys from FB are at CCB collaborating on an Oyster Stout. I bet that one will be tasty. Good to hear 2 of my favorite breweries are collaborating again!

actually Funky is collaborating with the Brewpub, not the Brewery

I know the Brewpub is a different location with different beers available, but aren't they essentially owned and operated by the same company (CCB)?

After they make this beer, will it be marketed/labeled as a collaboration between FB and Cigar City Brewpub or FB and CCB?

Just curious. I didn't think the brewpub and brewery were considered different entities other than their location. But it sounds like I was wrong. Thanks for the info.

To date, all brewpub beers I've seen have been labled Cigar City Brewpub, so I'd imagine this collab would also.

Thanks. Yeah, I was just checking out the Brewpub site. I guess I didn't realize the brewpub did collabs separate from the brewery. I thought the brewpub was just a restaurant that all brewed smaller batches of existing Cigar City Brewery beers. Interesting. Hopefully FB will end up having this collab available at their brewery once the beer is done.

the Brewpub, while owned by the same principle folks, is its own entity and pretty much operates completely separately from the brewery, especially the brewing side of things; Tim does his own thing, period

so whenever there's a collab there, it's a collab with the Brewpub and someone else

They will allow bottle shares at the brewery and I have met some some of the local BA's at previous FB event bottle shares and let me tell you they are fun bunch. Can't wait to do it again! See you all there in Jan.
