    Hey man, I remember the front of that line last year and it was filled with lots of hunting gear and other tell tale signs of gan'ers. The fine economy stimulating folks of Illinois were like 70's though 200, or possibly all of 70 through 200.

    Iirc they had shuttles last year running to the hotels not sure about overnight parking as I was in a lot that was not owned by dh

    We're spending the night Friday and the wifey or friend is droping me off at DH 3am. I'll bring coffee and beer. They will sleep while I wait in line and then gamble and shop while I sleep and then we will all go to 4 elf. I was given a $125 limit, they both know the prices, so I can't get away with going over the limit :slight_frown:

    thanks. i don't even mind walking a mile or two in the cold at 2am if it means getting to fully enjoy the fest as long as i know my car will be fine parked in the lot. i think i'll call dark horse and ask at some point.

    You can absolutely park in the parking lot over night...Done it the last two years.

    ^ this is the same exact issue I have. First the 8 hour line at last years 4 elf with number 344, then summer solstice...she was so pissed that we left....the good news is, I got my allotment, but had to drive the 45 mins backtrack to warren to get it.
    Needless to say the wife is out on beer releases with me from now on....

    Maybe I will get to meet some of thou guys this year.

    Best part of last year was the freezing rain that turned to snow during a peak time for the bottle sharing before the tokens were handed out. The ridiculously long wait to get everything was more than worth it for that magical 30 minute period alone. Here's hoping you guys and gals get to experience something similar this year.

    As cool as your dislike of FIPs is, Dark Horse is really a Chicago brewery, they just located in Marshall for tax purposes.
