For me, Troeggs and Victory are top tier breweries which are essentially in my backyard so-to-speak.

Favorite "local" breweries for me are Beachwood and The Bruery. There is a brewery in my hometown (Wolf Creek) but they are pretty hit and miss with what they make.

Surly Abrasive and Furious, but their lineup is solid most of the way through
Indeed Day Tripper (my favorite APA), and another solid lineup
Steel Toe Size 7 IPA, and the rest of their lineup is also very good

Other than those three breweries, there are definitely some hits and misses for me.
Summit has a lot of good beers
    Schell's is sneaky good
Pour Decisions is little known, but putting out some very good beers
Dangerous Man is very good, but it is taproom only and an ever changing tap list (no flagships)
Lift Bridge has a few solid offerings (Hop Dish is very good)
Fulton makes some good beers at their brewery, but the contracted stuff coming out of Point in Wisconsin is crap

Then, there are a lot of breweries still trying to find their feet, a few I could predict will be good/great, and a few I could see falling by the wayside.

Check out brewery tours as well, if you have time. Rahr is west, Lakewood is east, and Revolver is way the hell in BFE, but they are probably worth seeing if you're BA enough to be posting here.

I did not mention Community Brewing and Martin House (both Dallas area) because I haven't had much of their stuff, but in both cases they show a lot of promise. Martin House has a 4-grain breakfast beer (Daybreak) that is pretty good, and Community had some kick-ass bombers a while back.

Living in Florida is pretty awesome, considering we have fresh CCB all the time and Funky Buddha is a 10 minute drive from my house. Both of those breweries are really putting out some quality brews. Then you have Tequesta, Three Palms and more coming up.

Jai Alai is definitely my go to everyday beer and usually we can get it less than a week old which is just amazing.

Hyper locally here in the Triangle, NC, I love bull city burger and brewery. They hit their style spot on almost every time. Steel string in carrboro has only been open less than a year, but had the best DIPA in the state behind The Freak. Speaking of Wicked Weed in Asheville, they're just killing it. The only average beer I've had fr them was tier white ipa. Everything has been amazing.

Back home in NC, Fifty West in Cincinnati showed really well at Ohio Brew Week. They're no Jackie O's, but they're definitely something to watch for. Columbus brewing in Columbus has the best profile of hoppy beers on the east coast. Bodhi, IPA, and their other IPA (who's nMe is escaping me at this moment) are in the top of their respective categories nationwide.

I guess it depends on your definition of "local." HOTD, Upright, and Cascade are walking distance (or a very short drive) from my house, but since most people have heard of them I'll mention a couple under the radar spots.

Coalition - their Sourpuss berlinerweisse and Lovin Cup maple porter are both solid, and they occasionally put out some tasty one-offs.

Alameda - I'm not a fan of everything They make, but Black Bear Stout is probably the best non-BA stout you'll find for under $5/22oz. They also just put out a berry-infused berlinerweisse called Zombie Blood that was freaking awesome.

Gigantic - I haven't had a bad beer from them yet. Their IPA (the only year round beer they make) is one of the best in the state, and their one-offs have all been worth purchasing a bottle or two. If you can find someone willing to trade a bottle of Massive barley wine I'd highly recommend it.

Burnside - they can be a bit hit or miss, but they've put out some gems over the last couple years. International Incident, Gooseberry Berlinerweisse, and the sea urchin beer (I'm blanking on the name) have all been worth trying.

Laurelwood - They're known for their Workhorse IPA, but they also put out solid examples of most other styles.

De Garde - This is stretching the definition of local since they're 90 minutes away, but they have putting out a steady stream of ridiculously good wild ales.

The APA at selin's grove brewery in selinsgrove PA is one of
my favorite APAs period. I get it fresh and it's always around, which may be a reason why I enjoy it so much.
Abricotdabra and Roze Ezel at Bullfrog brewery in Williamsport, PA are 2 sours that are THE best sours in the state it not the region (may I dare say, the country?)
When I lived outside of Philly, tired hands rules supreme.

You know this is just my opinion, right?

The best we have in Connecticut is New England Brewing Company. Their Gandhi Bot is what you'd want to get, but everything of their's is excellent (although I don't care for the Elm City Pilsner, but I'm not much of a pilsner fan). Two Roads Brewing makes of the best Hefeweizens I've had. Relic is always trying something new, they don't always succeed but their always interesting. Back East Brewing makes an excellent Porter.

The only local brewery that I really enjoy is Spring House. They do quite a few beers I really enjoy.

One of my favorites is Big Gruesome, which is a peanut butter chocolate stout.

I'm also only about 40 mins from Troegs, though I don't really consider that local.

Kinda depends on what definition of local one is using, so I'll mention the 3 that are in my town: Chuckanut makes some of the best Lagers in the country. Boundary Bay makes big, bold NW Ales. Kulshan is the newest kid on the block, and are making a nice variety of Ales that have their take on things. I drink from all 3 regularly. We've 2 more that are supposed to be on-line by spring, Wander Brewing and Aslan Brewing. I've tried some test bottles from Aslan, and let's just say they're learning.

Agree with Pearl Street, I think all the Dankenstein bottles I have seen have a date of 0183.... That is Jan 18th of 2013, it is no wonder why people write them off when you can not get what is imo there best beer they bottle under 10 months in there own town... There Java Lava that they do not bottle is a very good coffee beer. There brown is my go to tap beer around town, here in La Crosse/Onalaska every bar even the dives always have that and Spotted Cow.
