Hey everyone, long time listener, first time poster. I'm trying to find a great seasonal winter wheat (there doesn't seem to be a ton around) and was just wondering if you all could help me out. I live in Ohio and we don't get a ton of options here, but anything you could suggest would be much appreciated!

I like Vitus too, but here's another suggestion, should be relatively easy to find - Schneider Weisse Tap 6 Unser Aventinus

Vitus here are well. Aventinus is also a great beer.

    Vitus won't do you wrong

Don't sleep on Ayinger weizenbock if you see it

Erdinger Pikantus is nice as well

Thank you for the suggestions so far. I wanted something seasonal instead of the year around variety that we have plenty of here.

+1 to the German options above. A "winter wheat" in terms of American craft beers isn't all that common anyway.

Actually Victory just released a winter wheat called Winter Cheers. It's actually a hefe, and it's pretty damn tasty. I would definitely recommend picking some up if you see it.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but New Belgium's Accumulation is probably worth a look. It's a seasonal White IPA....

Not my favorite, but definitely has a wheat/wit component, and should be distributed in Ohio

try a Wheat wine like Boulevard's Harvest Dance (winter) or Bells Wheat Love (taste like a hefe)

I don't know about great, but Bell's Winter White Ale and Sam Adams White Christmas are both winter wheat ales (Bell's is a witbier) and should be available in your neck of the woods.

Victory Winter Cheers should be exactly what you're looking for. I wasn't the biggest fan, but it's a solid wheat beer.

Personally I much prefer many of the year-round varieties such as Weihenstephaner or SN Kellerweis
