    There are quite a few Christmas ales I like, but St. Bernardus Christmas Ale is the perfect beer, in my opinion. Last year I drove a couple hours away to pick up 23 bombers after the holiday season ended and this year I hope to fill my shelves again.

    My personal preference on Christmas Eve for the last few (well, many) years has been a big ol' bottle of Chimay Blue. I see no reason to break the tradition.

    I guess we are splitting hairs...However I don't think 'over rated' and 'over hyped' are THAT far apart... That said, it's a great beer. It really is. Just people act like it's the F'ing fountain of youth. At least here in Cleveland. I'm a homer too. It's funny cuz I went to my local brew shop (Cleveland area) and they did a blind taste test of X-mas ales. I didn't attend. However they told me what came in dead last.... You guessed it. So, over Hyped/Rated. I think so....

    oh well I started it early because I seen on amazon black Friday sales already... I never posted to any other ones before, sorry...it seems before Halloween they said stores were open turkey day so I figure that is the end of turkey day as we used to know it.

    I am loving Goose Island 6 Day Ale and Widmer Brothers Brrr. Very confused by Sam's Holiday Porter not being around this year.:slight_frown:

    Didn't see anyone mention Sly Fox XMAS. Couldn't get enough of this last season. New can this year, hope the beer inside is the same.

    Great Lakes Christmas...hype has gotten the price up but I still indulge
    Avery Old Jubilation.. There's snow on the sixer and I'm warm after drinking it, Ho Ho Whoa
    Samichlaus... Have only had it on tap that was aged three years, it was so good
    Boulevard Nutcracker... Got to see the Nutcracker every year and this sure beats the hell out of the ballet
