Oh no, I understand fully. We all know these days are arbitrary, however, nobody cares. You welcome to be inquisitive and wonder why these dates were chosen, that's perfectly acceptable. Your OP just seemed vain, describing how much you are into all beers as well as the styles in question. Yeah maybe some historically significant dates could have been chosen (honestly I can't refute that the ones chosen aren't significant at this point) but my point, as well as the majority of the other comments are to just enjoy the things you like and not be pretentious about it.

 

At least we all got cool Untappd badges for it.

I drank an Old Raspy to get a badge on Untappd, just for fun and because I'm a lemming!

I don't have anything against "IPA Day", "Stout Day", etc. But they don't really encourage me to go out and drink that particular style that day if I'm not in the mood for one.
