Looks like the ticket deadline has been pushed back and more people are being invited, maybe the turnout wasn't going to be what they were expecting?

Not surprising. Only so much liver to go around.

(i already voiced my complaints about their scheduling in previous Bruery threads, so won't reiterate them here)

People's wallets are exhausted already from buying these same beers throughout the year I'm guessing. I can be at home drinking these beers without buying a ticket to get in.

You know you've been in the RS/HS too long when you look at the list of beers they're going to have at the barrel party and kinda shrug.

Yeah, nothing too enticing. Spent enough money on the exact same beers, so I'll pass.

Yeah, it is back to back between the BT release and GM, so I get the low sales.

As I understand it, there are also supposed to be some casks the day of, which is not indicated on the list if any of those are the casks they have referenced. Casks from these events in years past, were often the best pours, and later were bottled (Chocolate Rain comes to mind) Also, tasting 2012 Grey Monday, right after or before 2013 GM (instead of opening my one and only 2012 bottle from last years release) is worth it imho, in addition to tasting Barrel aged two turtle doves again, and the SirR w/ Peach Plums variant which isnt bottled, yet. In addition to the Wanderer side by side, etc.

Ticket also includes food, and funds go to chairty. All those points convinced me that the event was worth the price of admission.

For me, I never miss the RS intiation, and the barrel party, at a minimum, it's just a great time.

They posted the casks on facebook earlier today - Sour in the Rye on Pineapple and Black Tuesday on Cherries.

So those along with both Wanderer's, both Grey Mondays, SitR w/ Peaches and w/ Beach Plums....I know I won't be disappointed.

Anyone have an extra ticket to this they need to unload? Friend of mine just found out he's free tomorrow, but I didn't buy an extra.

this was my first year and i had a blast. i had to hurry and gave myself an hour and a half because my kids were with my mother in law at dland. the sitr variants were fantastic, the peach and beach plums were delicious . i missed the black tuesday with cherries , it was tapped by the time i made my way around the tables. the anniversary beers were also very good and was glad i got to try them. i was amazed by the full pours on everything. lol got a picture with patrick , which i thought was cool. he was busy bar backing it seemed but he was happy to take the picture. there were hardly any lines for beer and part of that was do to all the space they had in positioning the pouring tables.

Had a great time as usual. Plenty of pouring stations, and room to move. Being outdoors was very nice. Longest lines were for the bathrooms later in the afternoon lol, but beer lines took no longer then about 1 to 2 min tops to get a pour, and many stations had no lines at all at times.

Only recomendation would be that there was a lack of starches from the food provider. The food could have used a side of some toast, crackers, or a roll to go with it. Helps to soak up some of those high ABV beers! Great event.
