"Ummm, hotels? Where am I gonna stay for #FoBAB?" Unfortunately, we only had one hotel that supported us this year. Chicago South Loop Hotel has a discount for FoBAB attendees. Next year I promise we will have more. We are currently working with the Illinois Office of Tourism for #CCBW, and we will have many places for you to lay your weary heads. And if you steal shampoo and hand towels, you're welcome.

"Hey, I like to eat food with my barrel-aged beer. What's up?" This year, Goose Island Clybourn will be servicing your catering needs in-house. Also, we will have a handful of food trucks lined up in the main parking lot. Tacos, mac & cheese, pierogies, BBQ, donuts... what else do you crave? Sillies.

"I couldn't find a cab. It was dark. I didn't know how to get home. What gives?" We give!! This year, we will have a shuttle bus running from the Bridgeport Art Center Skyline Loft to the Red Line and Ogilvie Station. Times will be posted on the 16th at the event, but I would bet on two trips between 4 and 5:30PM, and 9 and 10:30PM. The shuttles are FREE, you're welcome! #FoBAB

Curious about the shuttle to the Red Line/Ogilvie. Are we able to pick it up on the way TO the festival at the Ogilvie station, or is this just an option when you're leaving the fest?

 

Is there any place with a definitive list of pre-parties?

 

Just called and the hotel is refusing to honor the discounted rate. They are saying that rate stopped being applied as of 10/15 and that block of rooms is already full. I booked a room with the South Loop on 10/31, prior to any hotel discount being offered or announced by ICBG. Even though I already have a room booked they are refusing to honor the FOBOB discount for my reservation because I booked past the "deadline" which was a month ago?

How is this possible when ICBG only posted this today?

I thought I remembered reading about a bottle share on Friday, but I could be totally making that up? Anyone else have any info on this?

 

I'm going to be in town from NJ. I don't have tickets and don't really expect to get any. I'm just wondering about any events going on at bars that weekend. Is there a place where I can find this information?

I just emailed Justin, thank you. Earlier today I contacted ICBG via Facebook (repsonding to the post and a message) and did not get a reply from anyone. I had issues with this hotel last year as well honoring the discounted rate so I hope its something simple. It doesn't make sense that the discount was announced today but the hotel is saying it was stopped on 10/15.

 

Yeah, I saw that one. Def planning on hitting that up. Three different variations of Abraxas? I'm in.

So Slapshot Brewery is showing up. I recently learned they just opened a brewery in my neighborhood (little village).
