I was just freaked I had missed the release somehow and all of it was gone. It's kind of hard to get impatient for something I'm probably not going to drink for another six months, but all the wait has finally pushed me to that end of the spectrum.

Picked up a couple bottles today in DC at 8.99 a bottle. But, managed to get lucky and purchased a Bramble Rye. Apparently, someone had reserved a bottle and hadn't picked it up in two months, so it went back on the shelves!!

This has it's own thread on BA? Must be a lot of hype surrounding this hard to find brew.... How many can-til-ons can I get for this rare masterpiece?

Edit: JK... unless you wanna

Damn wish I got this brew for 5 bucks a bottle. Happily paid 7 bucks for my three bottles. If I find a case for under 70 bucks it would be one hell of a deal.

No comparison. Fresh this beer beats the pants off old rasputin. old rasputin would need at least a year of age to be close to the drink ability of fresh Stone RIS.

I had it on draft and it was phenomenal, as always. No soy sauce at all.

I tried one last week an it definitely tasted strange to me. I'm not sure I would classify the strange taste as soy sauce, but that's probably not a bad description. I bought a few bottles, so I'm hoping the others taste more like the previous few years I have had it.

It's around in Chicago. Binny's is worthless as usual, but the small shops have it.
