Is it 12oz? It looks like a 500ml

    Yes, it is definitely 12oz.

    I got a 4 pack for $28, so that is $7 a beer.

They ran 8 a bottle at reasonable stores here to 12.99 places that were gouging. The 12.99 places still sold all of theirs. 12 is normal price in CA. Only 1 state got 4 packs because singles are illegal in whatever state that was. Id expect around 8 in Texas.

That state would be Arkansas. I believe all the bottles that went to Arkansas are also unwaxed.

I think I had read that they priced it so that it should retail at around $8 in Texas -- so we shall see...

Geez $8 is steep for a 12oz non BA beer. But damn its so fuckin good I still will buy a couple, just not as many as I had wished.

    Thanks for the info.

I believe Chase said it was priced to sell for $7 in Texas. But I'm sure it will be a feeding frenzy at any price.

It costs less than a world wide stout or a Tokyo and id rather have bomb than either.

True on both counts. They were $28/4pk there as well.

Meh... who cares about barrel-aging if the beer tastes fantastic already?

I get the impression this is quite an expensive beer to make as is. I'd love to see the ingedient list.

Yeah..what Lutter said. Not to defend Prairie since I live in Oklahoma but keep in mind its a 14% stout with coffee, vanilla and chilis. Thought it may seem pricey, keep in mind that often Evil twin, as well as other breweries charge more for a regular 12oz imperial stout. I think its beyond reasonable.

It's easily worth 8 dollars. A lot of people in Oklahomas only chance to try it was at bars where it's 14 dollars. It's insane how fast it sells out here, I can't imagine the nightmare Houston is in for.

8 dollars a bottle at our local shop plus tax for the Bomb , the Christmas Ale is 11.40 a bottle for a 16.9oz bottle ,that.s about 55 bucks a six pack if ya figure it out by the oz , way too much for my taste , they make some good beer but for the prices they are starting to charge I'll spend my money on other brew

Sadly only a select few are selling reasonably price bombers (or other large format bottles). Lagunitas is great about it. Most of the others have doubled in price over the last 2-3 years.

Jester King was the first I can remember to break the $10 barrier for shelf beers in large formats. It's been all down hill since then. lol

Dropping down to the 500ml format and keeping the same prices just doesn't fly for me , Stone has a lot of bombers under 10

Bear Republic as well, one of the best deals in the craft beer world IMO.

Sadly they used to be less. Closer to Lagunitas $4 bomber model.

    I'm still cool with $8.

And hell, I pay $25 each for CCB 750s, but that's for limited releases. I feel that shelf stuff prices need to be reeled in a bit. lol

This. Seems like so many shelf beers have been creeping up in price over the last year or so
