Well, here's my final hint that will show everyone what state I am shipping to. After this hint, my target should know who he is. In case he doesn't I will start posting which state I am not shipping to. Good luck with the hint and please don't hate me for having to read all of this. I had to do it though. It's my MO. Didn't want to let the other guys I've participated in BIFs with down.

Ten score and eight years ago, two fine gentlemen and a very lovely lady were taken to a travelers rest stop by a good friend of theirs named Old Toby. Old Toby eventually brought them to their final destination and left them to be on their way. On their way home, one of these individuals had to go through the time-honored tradition of carving a ‘I WUZ HERE’ message on a little outcropping around 340 miles from where Toby had taken them to their rest stop earlier on.

Now, let’s just say they were pretty friggin tired from their long journey and realized they still had a long way home. They needed to rest but wanted to let know the folks back home that things were okay. The group decided to send a message to their bosses back home letting them know what was up. So, one of the guys who happened to have a trained dove in storage took him out, attached a message to his leg and instructed the dove where it needed to go (smart friggin dove). The dove took off heading east-southeast. Unfortunately, during those times, there were no highways but let’s just say there was. The dove was hobbled when he stubbed his toe trying to catch a mouse for lunch about 30 minutes into his journey. Realizing he still had a mission to accomplish, he began to walk the rest of the way. Unfortunately, he could only cover about 39 miles a year being that he had a stubbed toe and short little legs.

Thirty two years later, having only covered about half the distance to his final destination, he was getting very tired and old. One day, he took a quick stop to grab a mouse that was crossing the road when a horse and buggy came flying down the road and ran right over the old dove. Realizing he must have hit something, the driver of the horse and buggy came to a stop. The driver, a lawyer, was abnormally tall for his age and was in a hurry to deliver some documents to his boss, John, but he did notice the message on the old dove’s leg. Not having the time to read it, the young man quickly tucked the small note into his pocket and headed off to his boss’ office.

What he didn’t realize as he sped off was that the note was only halfway in his pocket. As he was travelling as fast as the horse would go, the note quickly flew out of his pocket, landing on the dirt road. A man named John from Virginia and a woman by the name of Jane from Kentucky had been visiting the town that the lawyer resided in. It actually shared a name with a town in their home state where they were married fourteen years prior. John was holding Jane’s hand as they strolled down the road and noticed the raggedy old note laying on the ground. He quickly snapped it up and threw it in their picnic basket. The happy couple went on with their day and eventually headed west back home the following day with their kids in tow. The whole trip was about 100 miles.

The destiny of the note seems to have been lost at this point if it weren’t for the curiosity of Jane and John’s son. Two years after that eventful day, the son, four years old at this point, was digging around in their basement looking for old pictures of his recently passed sister, Margaret, when he came upon the picnic basket. He opened it up and saw a little crumpled up note hiding off in the corner of the basket. He reached in, grabbed the note and opened it up. His eyes lit up when he realized what he had discovered. He quickly ran upstairs to his room and grabbed his journal. Being an extremely avid reader and eventual prolific writer, the boy scribbled into his journal what he had found and inserted the small note into the binding of his book. He then went about his day of daily chores and quickly forgot about his discovery.

It wasn’t until he was around 24 years old when he was reading back through his old notes in the journal that he saw the note again. On this notable day, having just been appointed as a boat captain, he had the ship on cruise control since the waters were so calm. Reading through the note, he realized it served a greater purpose than he. So, he rolled it up, tucked it away in a bottle and threw the bottle into the waters near the town which his family lived in when his father passed away at the age of 49.

Unfortunately, the story ends here and only myths about that bottle remain. One rumor has it that the bottle drifted for many years south until it came to a rest 423 miles where it was last thrown into the water. Another rumor has it that the bottle was later found on the shoreline of where it was dropped and travelled 652 miles east. The third rumor goes on to talk about the bottle finally making it to its original destination where the original travelers had hoped it would end up. Only one of these rumors is true. The one that is true is the one that shows which state my target resides in.

Will this be the hauls thread as well? Or, will there be a new thread started for that? Asking because usually the threads are "hints & haults".

To my sender, please don't go out of your way (extra trades, etc) to get my wants. Just SWTFYW. I was stretching out my wants and im not too familiar with stouts outside of my distro besides the well known ones.

To my target, (Hint#5) you have a popular stout in your wants and it's in your distro area, but we don't get it in CA (yet), and I'm sending you one of my precious bottles as of now. IF you happen to buy some before we ship, remove it from your wants and i'll sub in something awesomer.

    Kthxbye.
