I would be interested in having a trustee in Colorado (if I get the lottery) or splitting with a current member who is on the fence about renewing. Feel free to BM me.

Just as a teaser I am in Texas and will kill people to make sure I get a membership should Jester King ever do a Reserve Society (they have talked about it). Karma may help you out in the future here ;-)

It doesn't actually say at what time the drawing will be held today, just that the drawing will be held today:

"All lottery winners will be randomly drawn and notified via email on November 14th. Lottery winners will have until 11:59pm MST on Monday, November 18th to purchase their Cellar Reserve Membership at www.store.crookedstave.com."

I would be interested to see when all is said and done, the ratio of in-state/out of state for 2013 and now 2014 members.

Wait, I think I got that wrong.

Anyway, I was selected and already paid. Just waiting for year 2014 to come now.

My buddy got in. So here's the weird situation we're dealing with (not sure if anyone has experience with this or not). I'm definitely moving to the area within the year, but haven't found a house, etc. yet. Can he designate me as a trustee, or do I need ID with that address on it? I could put my inlaws down, who are already there, but if I went to pick up the beer for him, would they need to be present then? I know it's a weird test case. Just wondering how anal they are about trustees, ultimately.

You don't need to be a local to pick up the beer. He can designate anyone he wants to be his trustee. He just gives your name

I don't think they give a shit where you live as long as you pick up the beer. As a member I want you to pick up the beer so I don't have to pay another price increase next year and be given that lame excuse.

It's pretty unfortunate. I think the system is flawed. I know multiple people who love Crooked Stave, work in the industry in Colorado and have been supporting them forever but didn't get a membership because some guys grandma in Arkansas already won it. Very frustrating. The idea that came up was to have everyone who enters put down payment information so, if drawn for lottery, they would be charged for membership immediately. This would ensure that ONLY people who want the membership get to enter, and that people don't sign up 40 other clueless people who don't even know what Crooked Stave is.

If someone uses a proxy don't you think they will sign up via the proxy?

This would just eliminate people signing up 15 others who most likely wouldn't be comfortable putting down their payment information for a membership they know little to nothing about.

Even when buying tickets to a concert in lottery form, they require some payment information to avoid 40 entries a person.

It is pretty annoying being in Colorado and having dudes from other states get these memberships, but I'm just going to be a dick now and buy all of there memberships mwuahahaha!!!
