I'd rather try a bottle at home, but this is my only option unfortunately

    I've been there.

Actually I was down to my last 2 and wasn't sure if we'd get bottles. That made the drive worth it. Plus they served me 6 snifters (not all for me, but 2 were) when I got there so it worked out well.

I, like Beernerds, spent $4.25 per bottle of Backwoods Bastard. I didn't think twice about it, considering Bishop's Barrel 5 was $8 a bottle.

reminds me of when bottle shops opened up around here(~2years ago) and one sold BWB for 8.50$ a bottle, they were called out but the amount of people defending them was absurd.

So Central Market got 3 cases of Backwoods Bastard today around 1230. They're all gone. They also had Founders Porter.

I read on Founders website that BwB is a 2 month release, but "somewhat limited", does anyone know if this is the only batch Houston/Texas gets or if it is the first of a few over the next bit of time?

We will get more. Just like what happened with FBS. I saw probably 7 cases of FBS at various stories today and I expect something similar to happen with Backwoods.

I honestly can't wait for Founders Imperial Stout. That's one of my favorite Founders beers.

Porter is in DFW. No BWB, I actually ran into a Bek guy a Market St and asked him about it and he claimed to have not even seen it yet. I know it's there and they are just holding off to unload other inventory.

I wish there was a simpler more straightforward way to find out what beers and how many we get. I'm sure it's not the simplest request but it can't that hard. 'Hey brewer how much do you plan on sending our way/have already sent to this area?'
I don't understand the 3 tier system all tht much and I know they're part of the problem of getting beer late but find out how much we've got or will get shouldn't be that difficult. I'm sure these companies don't decide 10 minutes before they send it out.
Mini rant over. I don't stress over not getting special releases because usually there's always next year but it's annoying sometimes.

Austin is getting another shipment of BWB, so I expect Houston to as well.
