I haven't had 2012 since February. It was good, but not great. This beer ages very very well though. We are at the 1 year point, so it should be notably better. But at 2 years it's really darn special.

2012 Abyss as of this month can be enjoyed according to the label's "best after" date. I drank one last weekend and it was mighty tasty. It has greatly improved since I've had it fresh.

Abyss will be about a 7oz pour in an 8oz glass. Looks like KBS and Stone Espresso IRS are still on tap too.

Hmmm I was interested but I can't bring myself to pay that much. If abyss is 5.5 I might go.

Old Rasputin 15th anniversary was $12. Definitely not worth it.

These are the reasons I like living in SA. How fast did the kegs of KBS blow in other cities in TX? I doubt many if any made it to the next day. I want craft beer to grown in this city but I do still enjoy not having to rush for a special release.

I brought myself to pay it, and even though I wanted more, it was a damn good beer and I'm glad I was able to try it. just got finished with the abyss, and at 5.5, it's absolutely worth it. seemed a little hot at the beginning, but as it warmed, it opened up into a chocolate/coffee monster!

Yeah I totally would if I had more than 20 bucks to last me until next Friday. Haha another opportunity will pop up. Glad you got to try it.
