.....9/11 maybe it's a cursed batch! Nah it wasn't that its not drinkable just a little rough on my virgin palate.

yup. nobody seems to be mentioning this. old 90 minute sucks. fresh is delicious. most bottles I find are way too old in MA. On tap it is delicious. Never yet found a bottle that tasted good. Never found one that was fresh since I learned to check the date

I friggin' love Dogfish 90, and I don't really notice huge alcohol presence in it at all. But I've had stuff that I know to be lower that tasted boozy to me. If you don't like DFH90, I wouldn't shy away from all high abv beers, because some you really can't tell. Maybe try it on another day, but I think the general consensus is that's a pretty fine IIPA, as far as those go.

Yeah I see that it's obviously loved. Maybe I just haven't hit that point yet. Ima try the Brooklyn Black Chocolate right now!

90 minute isn't bad. Just not what I'm looking for in a DIPA. Brooklyn BCS on the other hand....

Nice pick up. While I like palate wrecker IPAs, I am a huge fan of 90 Min and Burton Baton. 90 Min is more malt forward than most DIPAs but sometimes that's what I want. Burton Baton is just flat out tasty. Could drink either of these regularly, and would, if they distributed in my area.

90 Minute is what got me really into craft beer. Its still my second favorite that Ive ever had.

To my tastes the 90 Min is no more boozy than most DIPAs. But part of what I enjoy most about the 90 minute is that at 90 IBUs it’s a perfect way to come to appreciate the difference between a hoppy beer with lots of hop flavors and a hoppy beer where the tongue rasp of bitterness makes it hard to taste the flavors contibuted by the hops and the malt backbone.

The Burton Baton is near the top of the list of my all time favorites. You may enjoy that a bit more since it seems the alcohol is a bit better concealed by the other flavors.

Don't sweat not liking the 90 min. I like the 60 min. but I've never liked the 90 (even drinking it fresh at the Brewpub in Rehoboth).

I find the 90 Minute to be sweeter than the 60 min, but the 90 min definitely has a little bit of an astringent after taste.

Give it a chance later on down the road. It took a friend of mine a year to enjoy it but now it's one of his go to brews. I was the same just not near as long for me to come around.

I second this part of this post. I bought 2 Burton Batons right off the bat, and didn't like the first one at all. After I let the other sit for 6 months I LOVED it! Just something to keep in mind. Some beers are much better with a little age on it. I love 90 min fresh though...

Off topic, but since you mentioned it in the post, you should try the Bourbon Barreled People's Porter. 7 dollars a bottle and not hard to find

90 > 60 in almost all aspects in my mind.
