enjoying one, at this moment, in the comfort of my beautiful vermont home in front of the fire with my dogs at my side. in the words of pet shop boys (with an assist from dusty springfield), "what have i done to deserve this?"

Good thing I have a 4 pack of 3beans left but can't wait for gorilla warfare!

This is not supposed to be a winter warmer and has no spices. It's supposed t be basically the opposite. On the can/box it reads: "A winter warmer to warm our globe, or a GLOBAL WARMER to warm your winter?..."

All in all, it's a very well made beer.

I had this on Friday at Max's tap house. This reminded me of HopDevil but without the resinous hop oils. Very blood orange and grapefruit citrus that is well blanked by a caramel malt backbone. There is spicy hops but not overboard. I will drink again.

I had it Friday at Max's as well(small world). I found it a bit underwhelming though. I'll definitely try it again.

Yeah, like others said 3Beans was a one time collaboration. Can has an Enjoy by Date of July 2013. Have one left interested to see how it ages. Don't think we will see this again. They seem to be moving away from releasing spiced holiday beers (Autumnation, Winter Warmer) and releasing fresh IPAs. I'm not complaining.

When I go to Max's its either right at 11am (Parking) or 7pm. Beer and Lunch and Beer with Dinner. I agree with you, its drinkable and solid. Just not as intense as I thought it was going to be.

Clever marketing but nothing different from what they always do. Decent beer though.

I might have to get down on some of that afternoon Max's action. Last few times, it got uncomfortably crowded in there. On Fri, I was trapped in this weird cubby hole thing upstairs haha.

That happens sometimes. Getting there in the afternoon before 4 o'clock is usually safe. I got Otter Creek and Lawson's Double Dose on Thursday around 7, it was loud but still had seats at the bar.

An amber/red ale thats very hoppy and smells great with a 7%ABV?
An IPA by an other name would..... be an IPA
Global is though very good, but not resin good.

Haven't their canned beers always been in closed, fiberboard 4-pk "cubes"? The original 4 beers were in 16 oz. cans, since then they've also released some beers in 12 oz. "slim" cans, but they've also been 4-pks. At least, that's how I remember it.

Here's an industry article about that initial release, only a few months after they hit the market, which notes

This stuff is just plain fantastic!

I picked up one when it first came out, because I'm a bit of a ticker and have always been impressed by Sixpoint.

I was blown away by this one, and picked up 2 more the other day.

I think you are right, I don't know why I thought they use to be 6packs for the Bengali tiger
