    This.

And that would be good options.
Also, look for Alewerks Bourbon Barrel Porter, such an awesome brew.

Hammerknocker, based on the Green Man sign can I assume you're in the Asheville area? I'm visiting family in Asheville, NC and I went to Bruisin Ales and Appalachian Vintner yesterday (11/16/13). Between those two you should be able to find bottles of Epic Big Bad Baptist, Boulevard Bourbon Barrel Quad, Blue Mountain Dark Hollow and Thirsty Dog Wulver right now. Appalachian Vintner had Wicked Weed Old Fashioned on draft. Allagash distributes to NC so at some point you may find Allagash Curieux (bourbon barrel-aged tripel).

Shit man... Another good one you get is blue mountain barrel house dark hallow... That was one of the best beers I've had, and pisgah vortex II barrel release... I'd put them against darkness, parabola ect ect.

Looks like no distro to any of Illinois :slight_frown: I'm in East St. Louis, not Chicago, so I can't just drive over to Indiana on a whim. It looks great! Drink up for me:wink:
Can't believe I forgot BBQ! It sells out quickly here, too. Love Child 3 too like somebody mentioned.

Also keep in mind that most of these beers are high ABV, so you should serve them on the warmer side 50-55F.
Beer Advocate lists the serving temp for each individual beer.

I personally like most of my higher ABV, BA beers at my cellar temp of ~60-65, whether it's a stout or a barleywine. Oaked Bastard and a couple other weaker BA beers I enjoy from a shaker at 45-55*

Central Waters out of Amherst, WI. One of the best Bourbon Barrel Aged Stouts and in my opinion the best Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine out there today. They produce each in pretty good numbers at the end of December/beginning of January. You should be able to get a trade going easily, or if you're near Wisconsin just stop in any decent bottle shop before April and you'll find plenty.

IMO, Parabola is a bit overrated, at least judging from the bottle I had.

I would suggest going after BCBS and Black Note first. Wulver is also a great BB Wee Heavy.

    Good Luck!

Yeah, Asheville is close so I plan to hit Bruisin Ales, Appalachian Vintner, Hops and Vines and Wicked Weed. Will see what's in stock. Thanks.

A hidden a little more out of the way place would be Peabodys in Boone. Lots of goodies here I'd bet than heavily the trampled Asheville places. As always call ahead if your looking for someting specific.

Since you are in NC you should be able to get some Mother Earth Silent Night which is going to be released in a week or so. Also Catawba Valley Brewing has made a barrel aged IPA in the past, Whiskey River. If you can get some of that jump on it.

Just to be clear, regular Three Floyd Dark Lord is NOT barrel aged. It's just a soy sauce flavored Impy Stout.

Boulevard BBQ is a good rec, also Event Horizon. Good luck in your journey.
