Just got some today at Binny's - $6.99. It was still cold.

I have. They were fine IMO. I wouldn't buy them if they were too old, but if I saw 11.12.13 on the shelf today, I'd buy a few of them. I swear some people make it out to seem like they will turn to dust as soon as the next day comes.

Yes, my local shop still has 2.5 cases of the 9.13. I've been picking up as many as possible and I still think it's amazing. Plus, with it being sold for $5 a 22 there, I can't go wrong. Fresh or 2 months past the "Enjoy By" date, it still beats 90% of IPAs out in my opinion. We often get wrapped up in quibbling over minute differences between these amazing IPAs when damn near all of them are in the upper most echelon of beers that are being made - ever. It kills me.

    What are your thoughts?

I'd like to pick up a bomber, but not if it is similar to the most recent offerings. 11.12.13 and 9.13.13 were much more malt forward than earlier batches like 4.1.13 or 5.17.13.

I'm really craving a bright and citrusy DIPA right now, and would like to save the money if the most recent enjoy by is not in that vein.

    Thanks for the help!

yo, got one in central ohio earlier today and had tonight, super malty, piney up front, bright in an acidic way but not in my favorite citrus, grapefruit kind of way which would balance the beer out. I would say always try and make your own assessment, but if you're looking for recommendations I wouldn't go out of my way for this batch of enjoy.

This is the first enjoy by that ive had and I didnt find it malty at all. I cannot stand malty or evven slightly malty ipas and this 12/13/13 is in your face citrus pineapple aroma and flavor. Real nice hop bitterness with tons of tropical fruit and like I said before, I didnt pick up any malt from the bomber I had. I went back the next day and bought 5 more to ration out this month....because on 12/14/13 it turns into rogue bacon maple ale.

Saw cases upon cases at Whole Foods today. It seems as though Stone is producing Enjoy By more frequently and in higher quantities. It kind of takes away from the exclusivity that the Enjoy By line had going for it, and also a questionable move considering the "enjoy by" date and freshness is the main thing going for this beer from a marketing standpoint.

I really like it a lot, but after having about three of the dates, I'm done making phone calls to the main NJ distributor to see when all the places will be getting it. I paid 8.99 for all of them but at Whole Paycheck......eeeerrrrr I mean.....Whole Foods, it was 6.99. Unheard of LOL

There's a place near me that still has cases of Stone 17th. The hype is too much at times for these limited release items.

Never had even a HINT of onion from well over 20 bombers of this stuff. I don't get it either. Is it possible, that having a pint glass of it at 1pm and a snifter of it when you get out of work at UPS at 11pm, that it may have a different taste? State of mind, time of day, mood????

I was wondering because I know the Whole Foods in Laguna Niguel had 7 full cases on their beer wall earlier this week.

It would be worse if it turned into the Rogue Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana.

$8.49 here in Denver. Love this beer, but I also love Stone IPA. So let's run some numbers:

    Enjoy By: $0.386/oz
    Stone IPA: $0.104/oz

    Bomber prices are whack.

Don't have to worry about this beer in Wisco. Stone doesn't have the balls to distribute here.

I don't mean to shit on this thread, bit am I the only one who thinks that this is merely a good IPA and nothing more? I thought Ruination beat the hell out of this every day and twice on Sunday.
Id rather have two Hop Stoopid over one of these and I don't have to chase trucks.
