I hit up the DeCicco's Ardsley last time I went up to Peeskill. Any other suggestions on store I must hit when going again?

Any chance anyone was at Peekskill last night? Wondering if Higher Standard is back.

I rolled the dice and headed up there for a growler of HS, love that stuff! One day old! The tap room was packed. Will try that porter in a couple of weeks.

Crazy traffic, deadly accident on hutch, I saw the car, top was sheared off, unfortunately two people died.

    Woah, that's really sad.

But yeah, the tap room was packed at around 5-6:00. Upstairs at the bar was much less busy. Actually met some people who came through with 20+ people on a party bus, celebrating a friend's 40th birthday. A fun group.

If anyone is interested in hanging out with some fellow BA's, planning on a trip to Peekskill on the 23rd. Probably be there for the early afternoon, starting around 2pm or so.

Higher Standard is now on tap, Amazeballs is still on, so hopefully in 2 weeks they will both still be on as well as the other lineup they usually have.

Does Peekskill sell 32 ounce growlers?

I'm assuming you are asking about the glassware; no they don't. They only have 64oz growlers.

Yes, thanks for the response! I need to get my hands on some 32 ounce growlers. What is the best place to get these, I am assuming my local beer store, but beyond this is there a place to get these?

But they won't actually do 32oz fills right? or will they? 64oz of higher standard is too much for me, i never finish it but i love the beer. 32 would be perfect for sunday watching football.

I agree, 64 too much , 32 would be perfect for one drinking session.

I believe they will fill 32ozers, but their computer system only can charge for a 64 oz. So you would need to get two of them. This would work for me, one for Saturday and one for the next day or week.

Now I just need to find some 32 ounce growlers.

Not sure where you're coming from but DeCicco's in Ardsley has the 32 oz swing tops for like $3. You can probably ask to buy a couple empty ones

I am coming from Long Island, that would be perfect, it is on the way. Many thanks!

I've had them fill 2 32 oz of Higher Standard. I didn't get the impression it was their favorite thing to do, but they did it without much complaint ... For the price of 64 as previously mentioned. I'm fairly sure you are welcome to just get 32 but they are charging you for 6 regardless..

Went today, they filled both of my 32 ouncers with HS and did it happily.

The cost was $24. The receipt said $12 for a 1/2 fill. I know in past on here people said they would only fill two 32 oz growlers (not just one) with the same beer because their register could only handle 64 oz fills. Maybe that has changed? if so, gives people the option to get only one 32 oz or two different ones.

For HS, 32 oz is perfect for me , 64 at 8+ abv is way too much for me by myself.

They will fill a 32. They try to convince you on doing a 64 pressure though.

Moscow On The Hudson. Just a stupidly delicious beer, best Baltic Porter I have tried. Better than BA Framinghammer, and even though it isn't barrel aged it has more and better flavors. On tap now at PB, so gooooooooooooooood.

Do you know if Peekskill has any plans in the future to bottle their beers? I've yet to try any but all the reviews of them have been stellar!
