A lot depends on where you are in Phoenix. Best independents Papago Brewing, Tops, Sun Devil, Gilbert Convenient Mart. Best corporate, Whole Foods, Total Wine, Bevmo.

 

@LumpkinBrews, what part of town will you be in? Access to a car?

 

I will also be visiting PHX for a week (Sun City area). I've been to the Total Wine @ Arrowhead Towne Center. Is there a better place?

 

what are the best beers available now. New to phx in the chandler area. close to total wine, whole foods.
Would love to show my guest in the next week a great beer time. By the way I am from KC so really like the boulevard product.

 

In Sun City and Ahwatukkee Total Wine is your best option. However with Lumpkin having a car depending on the time of day Whole Foods in Chandler, Tops in Tempe and even Papago are no more than 20-30 minutes away. Lumpkin should go check out the Valleys newest places, Uncle Bears Brewpub in Ahwatukkee and Huss Brewing in Tempe. I haven't been to Uncle Bears yet and haven't seen any reports but Huss is getting good reviews and their IPA has to be the hoppiest one in Arizona right now. For Dirtfmr, Abyss is supposed to hit the shelves this week. Can't go wrong with it.

 

Between Total Wine, Whole Foods in Chandler, Tops in Tempe and even Papago up in Scottsdale...you wil pretty much find all of what AZ has to offer.

 

Being in Sun City, for draft selection go to Ground Control and Caballero grill.Best the west has to
offer.
