Who performs BeerAdvocate's reviews?

    When I look at a beer that The Bros have reviewed, it will sometimes have reviews from Jason, Todd and Beer Advocate, and yet, they may all be different and sometimes Beer Advocate's rating is higher than both Bros' scores. Who is Beer Advocate?

    I always assumed that the reviews under this account are the reviews that are posted in the magazine.

    I thought that too, but sometimes, they are all different with no rhyme or reason. Not like, an average or anything. Sometimes it's nearly a half point higher.

    Yes, they are. But who reviews them for the magazine? If it's Todd and Jason, why are they different from their independent reviews?

    Maybe it's their initial collaborative thoughts when they drank/reviewed the beer together, then later they sat down and reviewed it separately?

    Yeah, I think the BeerAdvocate reviews are the official reviews for the magazine and all the reviews under their individual usernames are more or less just for fun.

    Ok, yes, I understand that the Beer Advocate reviews are from the Beer Advocate magazine. But who are the people doing the reviews for the magazine? It can't be the Bros, since their independent reviews are often completely different.

    I do not think it has anything to do with paying to have an opinion/agree with anyone... I think they are asking someone with a subscription to look at a few of the magazines and see if the ones reviewed in the magazine align with the BeerAdvocate user.

    I've wondered the same thing but always assumed it was one of the bros. the beeradvocate magazine reviews usually just paragraph or two talking about the beer and bros individual reviews typically follow a structure.
