Note: No outside glass, and you have to purchase it (as opposed to deposit).

Thanks for the replies everyone. I live in Boston so I'm quite familiar with the area, just haven't been in yet. I'll try to get there this week and hope for the best traffic wise.

I don't know where you're coming from, but if you go up A Street after work all the traffic's going the opposite direction so it should be no problem.

I popped in for the first time this past Saturday. I was first one in. I had Congress St and Fort Pt before. Fort Pt might be the best pale ale I've ever had. Congress St is great, but like others said, the smell is amazing. I opened the growler that might and the smell just jumps out at you. I'd pay for just the smell, but the beer is pretty frickin solid, too.

And polished off the growler while working til 3:30am last night. Made it much easier to deal with.

I work in Dorchester and this is how I got there. It was easier than I expected. Also important to note: the brewery is very hard to see when you're coming from that direction. I completely missed it and barely saw it coming back the other way after I turned around. But it was dark and raining and my wipers suck.

I just wanted to thank Adam Goodwin at Trillium for a little tour during an impromptu visit a couple days ago. I was happy to make a stop last Saturday just before closing to pick up a 32 oz growler of Congress St and of Wakerobin ~ both of which came home with me to Oregon. Best wishes to Trillium on their continued success!

Behind those windows in the bar are sherry barrels they got from Sam Adams (for Utopias). Interested to see what Trillium comes up with for those.

Bottom line, Congress St. IPA and Fort Point are two elite pale ales, for those of us in Boston, its great to have an option to not have to go to Greensboro, Waterbury or NEBCO to get world class PAs, and usually no line either.

Trillium is trending way up and once word starts to spread and more people try it, things will get interesting.

Not to sound like a shill for these guys but aside from making top notch beer, their tee shirts are really comfortable / crazy soft. I'm thinking about buying a backup for when mine is in the hamper.

Second this. One of the better quality brewery tees I have. It's second only to my Allagash one I got a few years back (brand Alternative Earth) and may be the softest tee I own.

Coming from the south up 93, so I could either cut through southie or take the airport exit to the waterfront. I'm actually gonna try to stop in tonight if I get out of work at a reasonable time and the 93 traffic doesn't completely sap my will to live

Things like this make me wish I was more of a trader. I only do IPs, don't ship trade, but would happily help another BA out seeking great beer. I plan on getting my fills of those beers this Saturday. Plus, I've got my share of VM. I'm sure, hoping someone will hook you up. Good luck.

I thought the opposite. Somewhat astringent weird tasting malt and vegetal hop flavor. Had a hard time finishing my pint. I dryhopped an IPA with my homegrown centennial hops and got the same hop character - couldn't even cover it up with a bunch of Citra - I am barely willing to serve it to myself...

But the IPA and non-belgian pale ales I've had have been awesome for the most part and I will seek them out whenever I have the chance.

This brewery and Backlash's Uprising series, and JA's Kiwi rising is renewing my faith in local hoppy beer. Keep them coming.

Can anyone speak to how this holds up if kept in a fridge for 7-8 days. My father was a little over ambitious and bought me a few growlers because he knows I like trillium...I wont be home for thanksgiving till wednesday night.

God love him for thinking about me and my craft endevours but it was tough for me to tell him not to do something like this. I havent had congress yet and was planning on going today to pick some up till I talked to him on the phone last night.
