I was drinking Sam Adams varities as far back as I can remember but I feel that my first craft beer was DFH 90 min IPA on July 3rd 2006.

I tried Rogue Dead Guy on a whim after becoming tired of BMC crap.

Boulevard Pale Ale, back in 1999.

Amusingly enough, at the time I thought it was super-bitter, but it certainly opened my mind to the idea that there was more to beer than Corona and lime wedges.

My first foray into craft beer was Rogue Dead Guy Ale. I still love it to this day.

It was probably a Long Trail beer. Their beers are so easy to find here and are in every store.

I think it was Breckingridge vanilla porter. I at the time was really into guinness and blue moon. New a porter was dark like a stout and I love vanilla flavored things so I bought a six pack. I thought it was pretty good, but wished the vanilla flavor was more apparent. Glad I didn't buy the Old raspy I also was looking at. I was not ready for that yet.

If you like vanilla, try Finch's Secret Stache Stout! Comes in a 16 oz can!

My first craft, was something I'm sure most on here, never heard of! It was actually a resurrected old Cleveland beer called Erin Brew! Somebody started to brew it again in the late 80's! Unfortunately, it didn't last too long, then came Great Lakes and Crooked River!

First one I liked was Manny's Pale Ale. Probably had a few before that but I was still in my Miller Lite phase

It was one of Goose Island's BCBS variations. I was underage with an improv group and I wasn't ID'd, so I just ordered the most alcoholic brew on the menu. I don't remember liking it, but it did the job I wanted it to.

This will date me - PBR used to put out a bock once per year. I got a few sixers in the mid '80s and liked it, then started exploring Canadian beers, then other imports. By the time American microbrews started to really hit the market I was primed for the revolution.
