Summit Union Series #2: Rebellion Stout- Tasting Notes

Ah ha! My fathers side of my family hails from the "rebel county"! Anyway, I picked up a six pack of this tonight and it's its making me feel all patriotic. Truly fantastic stuff, slainte to Summit. Well done.

 

I'm drooling listening to them talk about it.

 

I heard this one is extremely limited. Most stores received one case I'm told.

 

Is this out anywhere yet?

Bought my first sixer yesterday, and really enjoyed the first bottle last night. I will be looking for more.

 

Sounds even better than I was hoping for. Hope Quality Brands brings this one to Omaha.

 

This seems to be the case, selling it by the bottle at S. Lyndale

 

Huh. I saw a bunch at Liquor Barrel in Golden Valley Yesterday and at the Eden Prairie Muni near Cub tonight. Maybe I should have picked up more than a single yesterday.

 

This sounds like it will be really good! I hope it comes to Rochester, I'll totally pick up a sixer. I'm also happy to see Summit doing these sort of things.

The beer is in limited release, about half the size of a typical Unchained brew. Call your favorite bar/beer store to find out if/when they are getting it. Below is a list of Twin Cites Rebellion Stout Events including one at Butcher & The Boar that will include sausages made with Rebellion Stout. The beer will likely go on tap in the Summit Beer Hall just one or two Fridays in December, so keep up with Summit's Facebook and Twitter pages to stay up-to-date on that. 6-8pm: Meet Summit brewers. Take home a Summit pint glass (while supplies last). Rebellion Stout, Horizon Red IPA and True Brit IPA on tap for the evening.

 

I picked up a 6er of this and am looking forward to trying it and putting some away for later.

Picked up a sixer the other night at St. Anthony Village on 88. Good stuff!

 

is there any left on shelves? my usual spots are out, but i figure there's gotta be a little bit left off the beaten path somewhere.

 

I only found them in Milwaukee when I was home for Christmas. Never saw them anywhere in the TC.

 

saw it once, glad I picked some up.

 

I just saw some...I cant remember where... it was in the north/north west metro... sorry im not more helpful. Its around though.

 

Can't believe this beer only carries an 88 on the site. Just an outstanding beer. Hope we see it again.
