Surly Coming back to Chicago?

My question is will we get darkness, their anniversary release, smoke, and pentagram?

 

Whole Foods Kingsbury just put Furious, Overrated, Cynic, Hell Lager, Bender, and Coffee Bender on the shelf. We cleared out a whole space in the cooler for it. Grab a pint of furious at the downstairs bar before you head out, too. Darkness, smoke, and pentagram should all be coming to market as well, although it's nothing definite.

 

Picked up a four pack of Coffee Bender and Overrated today, look forward to cracking those open. Had to resist the urge to pick up everything, figure these beers will be around for awhile and after a month or so the excitement will die down a bit.

Also scored some Backwoods Bastard (I know irrelevant for this thread) but hey good day for beer.

 

Binnys on grand has a ton, Overrated, furious,hell, coffee bender, and a few more.

 

Picked some up at the Lakeview Binny's! They had a ton of all of them especially Furious.
While I was there the Bud Light vendor was unloading his truck and making casual convo with him he said he was also dropping off the bourbon county! He just said, "They are supposed to hold it till Black Friday though"

 

Had some Furious at Village Tap a couple of days ago. Tasted a little like scotch to me. Liked but didn't love it but I'm really looking forward to trying everything Chicago gets. I haven't seen any Surly cans on any of the shelves at my go-to stores yet but Go Tavern down the street from me has it on tap for $4.

 

Binny's in Skokie has a good amount.

 

Anyone manage to catch the prices?

I saw Hell, Overrated and Bender at $10.99, Cynic and Furious at $11.99 and Coffee Bender at $13.99.

 

Looks like we get to pay an extra $2 per pack compared to MN.

 

Yeah, that is $1-2 higher than we pay here. Well, unless you're shopping at a place that rips you off.

Plainfield Binnys got their Shipment of all the year round beers today. Guy on the phone said they got quite a bit of everything. For those that have picked up some cans already, what are the canning dates looking like? Fairly recent I hope?

 

FWIW, I got three 4-packs (Overrated, Furious, and Abrasive) from a guy in MN the other day. He said they're all fresh, and the taste confirmed such. However, Overrated was not dated. Furious and Abrasive both had November dates on the bottom.

oops. i guess i heard wrong when i was told, i guess expect in late december/january.
