I'd love to get my hands on some. Not willing to pay crazy prices though. Not sure about trading. I can't get anything too crazy. Anyone let me know if you interested in a charity case!!

At the source, In de Vrede, the cafe across the abbey (by the bottle to consumed on site or sometimes you can buy six-packs to go), walk up to the drive-through gate (sometimes it is open and certain beers are available), on a rare occasion, I will buy one from a bottle shop if the price is fair. Also bought some bricks last year.... the cellar is full.

I just wanted to try a bottle, so I traded a bottle of Parabola for a bottle of Westy 12.

I traded for a couple bottles, I've never seen a brick.
Now I just drink Rochefort 10.

As everybody mentioned... Ebay in the past, trading, or just getting it in Belgium (personally or via a net store). I've only had a little as a pilot brought 10 bottles to Darkness Day a few years ago and shared some. Makes me want more, Good stuff.

I went there on a Sunday morning, got there when it opened, and they had 3 big stacks of 6-packs for sale. The place was very crowded by the time we left (only 15 minutes after we got there), I have no doubt the stacks were probably gone within a few hours. Was able to pick up 2 six-packs because my wife was with me. 20 Euro per sixer.

The 2012 "brick pack" release never made it to New Jersey, but I was able to get a brick pack in a beer store in Paris when I was on vacation there earlier this year.

glad to hear and many others have gotten lucky, just not us, but it was never a big issue, except on our first ever visit. but that was so long ago its not funny.

Swapped some BCBS for a couple bottles from a fellow who managed to land one of those U.S. ``bricks'' that came out not too long ago. Very, very tasty beer.

Was over visiting family in England this summer- Spent 90 minutes and over 500 redials on their beer line before finally getting through. A short ferry ride and a 90 minute drive later, my buddy and I picked up our two cases and drank several in In De Vrede over the road (and can someone please tell me why they serve Westy 12 almost ice cold in there?!).

Brought my 24 bottles (and wooden crate) plus loads of Cantillon back in my suitcases.

Oh, and I also have an unopened brick from the recent US release.

I'm feeling so flush with Westy at the moment, I actually included one as an extra in a recent trade...

Have you drank any of the brick pack? If so is there a difference?

Westy XII as an extra, that's sick!

No- gonna keep the brick intact while I've still got the ones from the monastery. May end up trading the brick at some stage...

I have had both, and the fresh stuff from the abbey is noticeably better than the brick version.

I have a friend who goes to Belgium once every few years and he brings back cases because they're cheap as hell over there. I used to buy some from him every time, but I've since lost interest in the beer. Though, I did buy some when they sold here for a bit.

It's not a hard beer to get ahold of if you can get with someone who lives or travels across the pond.
