No problem with the 32 ounce here since we'll never see them anyway!

This thread would be funnier if the beer had been called Lagunitas Sour Grapes..

Someone doesn't know what sour grapes means.

Not very far to start from my info...but I wouldn't hold me to it in case I'm wrong or things change faster than expected.

This is nothing new under the sun. Try this: go to the store and see what a 32oz of Bud and 6pk bottles cost and compare the cost per ounce...or maybe High Life or Coors Banquet. Get back to me with your results. Thanks and have a nice weekend.

It's a money grab from all of them. What's your point?

The sour grapes was supposed to be a reference to those that cannot get Sucks or cannot get it in a format they prefer... I thought it was a reference to the classic "The Fox and the Grapes", but perhaps in the modern age it has come to mean something else?

It's developing a negative attitude towards something you can't have. I've not seen a single person in the thread host a negative attitude towards the beer, just the format. There is a negative attitude towards something that is attainable. That not sour grapes, it's having an opinion.

How bout cans, and cans in twelve packs and make it year round. We'd really like that, Tony. Sucks would be the undisputed craft king of beaches, ball games, and barbeques if that were the case. Case, hey Tony, can we have cans in cases?!!!:grinning:

Jeeze... The negativity that surfaces here here and enormous assumptions about price and worst of all the shit some of you Eeyore's claim to know about the depth of our greed and manipulation is stunning. Allow me to remind y'all that if you don't like something about it there are 2,500 other breweries trying hard to earn your love. But when some come on here to 'advertise' their bad vibes, that's tragic. The pricing will be very similar per oz to the six pack. If your liquor store is greedy, that's their space. If you can't stomach 32oz or if you only drink alone, get sumpinthefuckelse. I'm not doing this as a gimmick. It is just that there are no other craft in 32oz glass. This is called 'open field running' for us and its just another way to buy a beer for you. I'm glad you're all passionate but when you start to make it personal while you are also fundamentally wrong, that's a more than just unfriendly..

^^ I don't know--I think this has been, for the most part, a pretty civilized discussion. It might not read that way after a few 32oz. Sucks , but there's definitely some good takeaways here.

You're in a business, business requires profit, people want free shit, thus the negativity. Sorry for that then, but if I want it, I am willing to pay for it. Thank you for the great beers you brew!

I remember getting Sucks out in Raleigh last year...definite game changer. Reminded me a bit of Zombie Dust from Three Floyds.

The guy at my local beer shop has stopped answering my calls regarding the next arrival of Sucks--thanks for shedding some light on it DogTown.

Another eloquent Tony rant. Priceless. Inspiring as always.:astonished:

People will vote with their $$$. Lagunitas will respond depending on how people spend.

The "open field running" here is unique but call it what it is--a novelty--is that better than gimmick?

I will enjoy what I but will get less. I am the only craft consumer in my home. Doesn't detract from my enjoyment of what I get and my like of Lagunitas top to bottom.

.......AND thanks, Tony--I am aware of the rather large beer selection I have to choose from.

Did a business owner just F bomb his customers and call them dumbasses on a public forum?

    Wow. That's a first I've ever seen.
