I'd stop in Boardman, Ohio at Vintage Estate, if it fits your travel route. Unparalleled selection and good prices. Nothing in WV, or even Pittsburgh, can top it.

Sorry, man. West Virginia is a baron wasteland for craft beer.

This much is certain. I think they have less breweries, per capita, than Utah does.

I was just hoping I could find some that are not here ie. Troegs sixpoint cigar city etc.

Cigar City definitely isn't distributed in WV or Western PA.

Sixpoint isn't distributed here in Western PA; not sure about WV.

Troegs may be, but you may have to search far and wide.

Vintage Estate is still your best bet, if it fits your travel plans. You'll spend less time going out of your way to get there than you will running around WV hunting for something. Besides, it's a world class shop. Not many like it in the country, let alone the region or state.

Where in WV are you going? That will help with where you should visit.

OK good, you are in luck! Besides Huntington getting kind of trendy and being a fun town you are really close to KY. You should do yourself a favor and go to Ashland KY(about 15 minutes or so from Huntington) and go to a place called Continental Liquors. They have 8 (I think) growler fills stations (they will fill any growler you have). You will have a pretty good selection here. They also carry 6 point, founders, 3 floyds, Schlafly, Oscar Blues, Smuttynose, and a bunch of other beers. If you are going durring black Friday they are supposed to bet BCBS (canyoupicksomeupformebro?). If you have time I would travel up to Charleston (about 45 minute drive) and go to the Charleston Brewing Company in down town. They have an awesome IPA (Raj) and a bunch of other great brews. WV doesn’t have much in the way of bottle shops but most of the grocery stores carry Great lakes and other local brews. Let me know if you have any other questions, I am really familiar with that area.

I was going to ask a similar question in the future. my GF is in Morgan Town for an internship. This is disappointing lol. looks like I will be sticking to Jameson.

Morgantown if a really fun town! Morgantown has a couple really good local breweries (Mountaineer Brewing, Mountain State and Morgantown Brewing). The really good news is that you are really close to PA. It would be a short trip to go to Pittsburg (East End - Gratitude!!) and PA gets some good Distro.

Yes, I am flying into Pa, from there its only about a hour car ride if that. I will check out Pittsburg. She sent me some coffee from some place "On the strip"?), it was great so I will be checking out more of Pitsburg!

Pitt has some good beer gardens too. I would stockpile some of your distro to bring with you for IP trades.

2013 Gratitude is sold out. Only way to get some now is to trade for it.

No problem, glad to help. I would be trying to get some BCBS there but I am traveling to another part of the state and won’t have access. If you get some shoot me a message and I will hook you up. If you have any questions about anything else while you’re down there shoot me a message. Have a safe trip and enjoy!

Mountaineer is no more.... Hit up Morgantown Brewing Co. Solid beers all around. Same with Mountain State.

    Possibly La Prima Espresso? http://laprima.com/

East End has a growler/bottle spot in the strip as well if you're in that area.
