I was living in Denver and signed up on this site in 2010. If I had any idea I would start using this site like I now do, I would have spent a couple seconds thinking of something more original. Like using my actual name.

 

Took a japanese cinema class in college and became (and still am) a big fan of the actor Toshiro Mifune. One day in that class my instructor told us a story about a movie pitch made in the 60's/70's where Toshiro Mifune would fight a mechanical version of himself, in the vein of "Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla". I'm pretty sure he was lying his ass off about the whole thing, but I still found the concept amusing.

nickname I had a little over a decade ago was shitgoose. in a way to get my attention, one would say, "hey shitgoose... remember that time, etc etc" and back in the aol instant messanger (aim) days, I tried making a screen name that said heyshitgoose, but they wouldnt let me due to profanity. Decided to outwit the system by placing a 5 where the s should go and have been using this for handles ever since

 

Always wondered. =) I thought maybe you grew grapes and that was a foreign word for "vines."
