Getting a little big......moving recently was a bit of a pain, haha, but still worth it. In the basement which hovers right around 50-55 degrees in the winter......and a bit warmer in the heat of the summer.

    +/- 500 bottles

Can't tell if I'm just being lazy or if I'm a little to protective of my beers. Haha (Almost everything should be moving to the crawl space soon)

For good measure, here's the complete cellar shot, along with a number of bottles I've added recently (that extra shelf has already come in handy ^_^).

^ Haha Thanks everyone for sticking up for my POS beers. It's going to suck eventually drinking all that beer. :slight_frown:

I too store my cantillon on their sides. However, is it just me or does it seem like these are stored at an angle that would make the sediment toward the neck of the bottle?

I just started my collection right before I left Belgium. I have more beer than this now but it shows my setup. I preferred to go the route of having my beer temp controlled.[IMG]

It's certainly a valid concerned but it has to be fairly large slope to overcome the angle of the bottle below the neck.

Just spent two hours unboxing, inventorying, and sorting my collection. To steal a phrase from someone very early in this thread, I upgraded from the "tornado aftermath organization method" to something a little easier to find my way in. By which I mean find the bottle I want.

Oh, and there's the "ancillary storage" in my kitchen... Pay no attention to the milk and wine, I had houseguests.

Where did you get those shelves in the foreground? Or did you build them?

Here's my starter cellar. Moved into my new house this past weekend and a friend donated his old fridge. I just removed the bottom drawers and the light bulb. It's set right around 45 degrees. I may have bigger plans in the future but this is perfect for now!
